I knew that Jumper had a great game, but apparently he graded out even better than I realized, as PFF gave him an even higher grade than Barnett, who had a monster game.

Top defensive grades

LB Colton Jumper 86.3
ED Derek Barnett 83.5

CB Emmanuel Moseley 82.8
LB Cortez McDowell 77.6
S Todd Kelly, Jr. 74.4

Well done, young man. It's awesome to see former walkons rise to the moment, and even moreso after he has been so badly maligned by our fanbase.

He always gave great effort, and now he is getting the results of that effort. Happy for this young man he will never forget this, neither will we.

Odd that the VN declared two worst defensive players graded out in the top 3?

Colton has been criticized roundly on here and the critics will say what they will , the young man has earned the respect and confidence of his team mates . You go CJ!

Indeed. It's safe to say he had more to do with breaking this streak than (probably) anyone posting on this board and no...nobody will ever be able to take that from him.

Great to see marginal players like Jumper and Mosley step it up against a big time opponent with Cam and JRM and Kirkland out.

Until this game, he was simply a liability. His play last year resulted in yardage and points that may well have turned W to L.

His play this year up to this point was uninspired. His feet looked stuck in mud and his reaction to the play late.

He played well Saturday, but he is no DKjr or JRM. At this point, his good play is an outlier. I'll be happy if he can continue good football, but we'll see.

You do know he had 7 tackles against OHIO and a TFL

He played a good game and it is about time! I know he cost us that game against Oki last year (and maybe FL too).
The prior comments were justified. If your play stinks, I'm gonna say so. If it doesn't then I won't say you stink. So way to finally deserve to be on the field. I'm not going to say sorry for expressing myself.

Personally, I am impressed with Shoop's hafltime D adjustments more than anything else. We got torched the 1st half. It was pitiful.

If we can play our A game for 4 quarters we are a top 10 team. That's what I wanna see, play fired up for 4 quarters!
