Jumbotron Update

That's amazing. I need to drive by at night to get a look for myself.

Thanks for the pics, skymonkey!

Just got home from my ultimate fan experience. I'm gonna upload the pics I have on my phone from the night, but Skymonkey has better ones on his camera.

Why does the L, N and D look like they're chopped up?

Alley is right they can be called outriggers or davits, they support the swing stages that are hanging off the back. Unfortunately they are permanent because you will need them to change the faces (pictures) that are going on the back when advertisements change. The good news is they only obstruct the letters from close range, from afar they will not be noticeable.

The proof that Volingatorland suited up and hung with the SkyMonkeys, he ain't scared of heights apparently...which is a good thing if you're with us!

Here is a pic of the inside of the header showing where we hid all of the HVAC units to cool the inside of the video board. There is close to 80 tons of air supplied for this, not sure what that means, I'm a Sky Monkey not a heating and cooling dude.

Excellent pictures guys!

I would say 80 tons is "roughly" equivalent to 48,000 sq ft of residential cooling. Where are the air handlers for those condensers?

Oh and VIGL is a lucky SOB.

Ok, here's my pics

a good example of the "Home of the Vols" Unfortunately it's not lit yet but you can see it here.

Are they only going to be on the back for the cabinets or will they be seen inside the stadium also?? BTW it looks awesome and props to Volinsidevoltron....haha

There is an air handler at each end of all 4 levels, 8 total.

Funny you should mention that cause we were just talking after you guys asked about them that we should cut off the ones in front since that will be viewed from close and the front ones will not be used anymore. It's not in our scope but I will hit UT up about it tomorrow.
