Jumbotron Update

Not much that I know of, I've spent more of my summer on the west coast and wrong coast (Florida) than I have here.

Looks like nasty, nasty storms next week. Woohoo! I get my thunderstorm fix! Sucks that it'll probably put a damper on the work at the stadium (and band camp, halleluiah)

Have you guys installed any boards larger than this one?

I know the one at Texas is larger, just not sure if you guys installed that one.

This is the largest video screen we have installed. We didn't do Texas. I'll try to get some stats on where this ranks as far as square footage goes. It's a freakin' monster though. I'm trying to get them to let me hook up my Xbox to it for a test. A little Madden '09 in a very big way would be really cool.

This thread has turned out to be pretty cool.. Thanks for the work, info and pictures skymonkey and junglebeaver. Keep up the good work.

That would be pretty sweet. Though maybe you should make it NCAA Football '10. You should get a video of that if you are able to pull that off.

Thanks for all of the replies and work you guys are doing. :hi:

Good lord, sign me up for that. I'd love to see some good gaming on that thing. Just pictures would be cool to make me drool!

I have dibs for the first game against skymonkey. I will take the Vols and he can have the Ducks (or Beavers). :)

I'm just going to have to brush up on my NCAA '10 skills. I always play Madden, I travel so much it's hard to become a fan of a college team as the games are too hard to catch out of town. I'd have to take the Ducks in this example but I'm not trying to start anything here. :whistling:

Here's a pic at the end of today

you skymonkeys are pretty cool guys. you will be long gone in a few weeks, but a few of us will remember the dudes that built the Voltron. definately worth a spot on Discovery, IMO.

Man, you don't what that means. One of the greatest rewards of this work is to see what few fans I get to meet smile at their new digs. Proud to be working for the Vols, y'all have a great stadium.

we appreciate the update, pics, and the work you guys are doing...if you can somehow make it back for a game, lemme know, first few rounds are on me! :toast:

Looks great! Thanks for the hard work.

I wonder if it will out shine the stadium lights during a night game. I know the LED ribbon board they put in two years ago made the interior of the stadium that much brighter.

its the beavers all the way screw the ducks
Uh oh. :birgits_giggle:

You guys can't help but root for the Vols now! We do play Oregon in 2010 and 2011.
