Agreed. I just hope alabama's stadium doesn't go above ours for capacity as I have heard it would. That would just suck.
Won't matter. B-D Stadium will still remain an S-hole just by it's proximity to Tuscaloosa alone. You cannot polish a turd.

Haha if it looks like wasting money then it probably is. You know they used to leave the old one on all the time? Something about being afraid to shut it off for some odd reason.
they left the old one on all the time for the last few season and only because they were afraid if they turned it off, it would never come back on again.

We don't even appear to have HD cameras for our screen because the only time it's in HD is when prerecorded videos are playing, the rest are just a stretched SD frame.
actually our screen and camera's are HD. not saying there isn't still some SD shots but most of the field shots and prerecorded vids are in HD.

Jumbotron sucks... takes the crowd completely out of the game. Neyland will NEVER be considered a loud stadium anymore.

I've been to every home game thus season, and it seems to me like they use the entire jumbotron a lot. Almost every time there's a replay, it goes into full screen

I'm pretty sure with Alabama's expansion and with Hamilton taking seats out of Neyland, we will not be the largest in the SEC for much longer

What makes me mad about the Junbotron is that you see all of these other stadiums and they have smaller ones by far but the screen that they play the game on is bigger than ours...Take Ole Miss...I was watching last week and thy have ads on theirs as well but they are half the size of our ads and their screen that shows the football action was larger by far...All they need to do is shrink the darn ads...They will still pay the same for them!

I'm pretty sure LSU has two. Mississippi State has the largest HD Jumbotron in the SEC and the second largest HD jumbotron in the nation. Texas has the biggest.
Tennessee. Has plans to add another jumbo on the other side of the stadium. I worked on the first one and the upgrade.

Probably, but if TN starts competing for the NC and the SEC on a regular basis then look out for another explosion.

Bummer but its still cool.

I can't remember which stadium but I am pretty sure its an SEC stadium that has a smaller version of the jumbo tron on both ends. That would be cool to see. Whats another 50 million. Should be able to make that off of the ads:)

Florida has two.

South End Zone
The entire structure – 30′ x 137′ – will be full LED (Daktronics High Density 16 technology). The previous South End Zone video screen, which was 11 years old and had exceeded its life span, was 21′ x 28′.
North End Zone
The entire structure – 25′ x 70′ – will also be full LED (same technology as SEZ). The previous video board was also approximately 21′ x 28′.

Several media outlets in Alabama reported just over one year ago that Bryant-Denny would be expanded by 9,000 seats to bring the capacity to 101,000---but there was no firm time table for the expansion.

With the alterations being done to Neyland (Club Seats, Sky Boxes, Tennessee Terrace, etc.), its capacity is being reduced to almost exactly 100,000----sadly, it may be just a matter of time until 'Bama's stadium's capacity will exceed ours. I don't like it one little bit.

No one who matters will care about this when we start winning again.
