just thinking, but it’s kinda stinks that someone who struggles in school (and trying) isn’t allowed to play a sport that may give him the only chance he has at a decent life.

I'm sure they have some way of making that make sense..

Does anyone really know anything about his grades other than a couple or comments from AP?

Again there’s no reason not to take his commitment or even signature. There’s no risk because there’s no initial counter limit. The earlier he commits the sooner your academic people can work with him to help get him qualified.

I have a hard time believing every one of our scholarship football players are even average students in the classroom.
All 3 of our guys drafted this year were also All-Academic guys too...

The admissions requirements have been far more stringent since about 2005.
Not just UT either. JUCOs are beefed up now for a reason
