'20 JUCO DE Jordan Davis (Mississippi State commit)

Yes, the defense got lit up, but that was still a bad move by St. Nick. U don't change OCs a week b4 the NC game. His biggest mistake as Bama's football coach, except, maybe, for the decision to kick a FG on the Kick6, imo. I am 99% sure, they win that game if Lane was the OC

Totally agree because if Lane was OC he always knew when and where to call what. Also Lane never ran Bo excessively in the 1st half. Also he knew wha pass plays were the strength of the qb and the other rbs. Meanwhile once Bo went down Alabama had no running gm @ all despite Harris being their leading rusher and having a very productive yearin which i think he had 1k

Yes, sir. Lane liked to use Bo in the 2nd half and pound teams into submission with the big, power back. I, also agree, about how Lane, used Hurts, he had a lot better feel for the kind of passes Hurts could make. I really can't believe the national media didn't rip Saban, harder than they did. Watson is a winner and willed Clemson to a victory and deserved all the credit he got, but imo, Saban lost this game b4 it was even played. More should have been said, about Saban's inexplicable decision, to let Lane go and move Sark into the OC position. If that was any other coach, but Saban, the media would still be talking about it

I hope Saban's pride costs him Davis, too. I can see him, telling Davis not to go back to UT or Bama will pull the offer. Which, hopefully, he will do that and Davis tells him, eff off. Of course, that may just be wishful thinking on my part

Tennessee pretty much did in 98 with Coach Cut going to ole miss.
Worked out okay for Tennessee.

Jettisoning the season long playcaller? Had SOMETHING to do with it.

How many points did bama score? Oh yea, 31... More than enough points with that prolific, 'NFL' defense to win that game..

I'll agree that the loss was on St. Nick but I don't agree his getting rid of Kiffin had much if anything to do with it.. Thus is JMO of course...

True statement but we were so talented on that team that Fulmer could have gave Randy Sanders a coloring book and crayons up there in the booth and we still would have been fine.

The 4th down pass to Bryson was the best play call of Randy Sanders career at UT

But Cut made that call...distinctive difference. Bama kids knew that their playcaller got booted...without their input. Harder to just step up and deal with it, like our kids.

Bama had explosive playmakers. Consistent gameplan wins game going away. Sarkisian was rusty and it showed.

Totally agree also agree with other poster, if let's say Butch fired the OC right before Championship game, he would have been eaten alive! Saban got a free pass..

This is from a poster on VQ.

New Carvin is going to be a Vol, just like Emerson and Cam Jones. Emerson and Cam Jones are trying to get their rankings and profiles up a bit before they commit.

The best news is that Jordan Davis is absolutely raving about his visit privately to everyone around him. He was blown away by our facilities, the culture, the playing time and depth chart opportunity, and Butch\Hoke\Stripling\Shoop. He is already begging his mom to come back and visit campus during fall camp before the season starts because he wants\needs her approval. If Davis makes it back with his mother this summer, id say it's a done deal after that. Big time news. I feel confident our staff can make great presentations for in-state opportunities, academics, support, and playing time for Jordan's mother. She is going to be blown away like he was.
