He was a 4-star but outside the Top 250 previously. TBH, he and Lawless has been massively underrated up to this point. Lawless didn't get a bump though. Davis is legit, big-time pass rushing DE, and a position that Tennessee has a desperate need at.

Hmm strange I just checked again its still showing a DT out of NC

Rivals didn't even have him ranked/evaluated initially and within a week or 2 of committing he immediately became a 4*, now this bump. I'm not saying it's not deserving but I have little doubt it has less to do with his performance and more to do with who he's committed to.
