He will handle recruiting operations such as organizing and running official visits, travel for coaches and things like that. He won't be doing any "recruiting" like a coach. He will help recruit when guys are on campus, but his role is doing the nuts and bolts of recruiting.

Coccoa the gorilla could recruit to Bama. Sorry but I think being at Bama has made these guys look like better recruiters than what they really are.

Recruiting at Alabama right now is as easy as handing out glasses of water in the middle of the desert. Who knows if the guy is worth a **** or not but we will find out.

I am confused. I thought all of them other than Jay had to come from Central Michigan.

You do know Dooley nor Sal were Bammers. Just because he coached at al a cpl yrs doesnt make him a bammer. He coached at Louisville, Pitt and Car Panthers alot longer than Ala. I swear I think sometimes people just say things or just make up stuff to sound good. One of the DB coach's was at Ala too. But people saying Dooley and Sal were bammers are just insane. Couldnt be further from the truth. I would hate to see if CBJ had hired TJ Weist. He was a bammer. Hart is the only true Bammer we have had.

If we hired Saban, some would whine; "Not another Bama". Even if it was just for a cleat cleaner.

Hiring people from Bama has not worked out for us so far.
I am therefore not the least bit excited about this hire. To be honest, I would have vetoed it at the mention of Saban's staff if I could have. Now that he's here, I hope he breaks the trend of ex-Bama and ex-Saban guys being horrible at UT and actually helps this program.
