JP is all messed up

If they do it in college I've never heard it mentioned. Have in the pros tho as you said. I dont know if it's a point of emphasis in college.
i'm sure it's a safety issue more than anything, and they've just taken the stance that "if it's dead, it's dead" and they're not going to open that pandora's box up.

this is really one of the few types of plays that's left up to the subjectivity of the ref.

I mean from the standpoint that the replay guy is determining a play based off when the whistle was blown.

Pulls Banks out of RB spot. Says he is having a hard time holding on to the ball. Doesn't give the Kid time to train. Moves him (did he play linebacker tonight)
How many plays did his replacement who ran hard and ran the TD play
But, he leaves a QB in the game that can hardly complete a pass 10 yards down the field.. Overthrows, underthrows and just plain misfires
Yet he leaves a QB on the bench who can throw the stupid ball
Where is that seam route Ty ran last week for a TD catch down the middle.
How many times was KC on his back last week...
How many passes of 10 yds or more ( right on the money) did KC have last week
JEREMY PRUITT SAYS HE DOES ALL THIS MOVING TO GET THE BEST PLAYERS ON THE FIELD

JP better be up front with Vol Nation because believe it or not we remember what you say to those reporters and in press conferences
Vol Nation will not stand for this next year and maybe not week after next...
We trust you until we begin to have reason not to.
JP gets paid big money to make the right player calls. If he stays with JG he will have to live with them
Banks requested to move to LB
He's giving him time to learn the new position, which is why he didn't play
JG doesn't have time on most plays for the WR to get downfield, which is why we throw more short passes. Also no run game to support/set up a downfield passing game.
JG is better than Chryst
Legitimate question on the seam w/ Ty. It's worked several times this year.
KC was on his back plenty against Bama, however he does get rid of the ball a little quicker than JG, but you're best chance to win is with JG
Bama doesn't Blitz as often as USC, therefore more time to go downfield. JG would have had just as many if not more downfield completions had his line not allowed him to get murdered.
Still no real reason for alarm with JP. Actually, there are quite a few reasons to be very optimistic.
I hope he sticks with JG, and I have no reason to think he won't since he's our best option to win out.

Ha ha more news on Banks...RB...oh wait..he could play lb this week the calls are pretty simple.....oh oh wait it's going to take him a few weeks...

I guess it's was so simple Banks doesn't need to practice this week....oh I get it....Banks is a secret weapon at lb and Pruitt just trying to fool everybody....NOT
Thanks

You want to put some proof to your statement butchna....have I not said what Pruitt said....and I would be pretty sure you don't know what's going on..that's pretty evident to me

How do you know that I was referring to you? 😉 You defensive mess you! I don’t think any of us need worry about KNOWING something on this board. A weak stab at sarcasm here...a contrived fictional QUOTE there...It’s a pretend something means everything or it means nothing message board world here, scro!

OK. Waiting for clarification of the following press release.
Lets see. Stopped playing Banks at RB so moved him to LB where he never played. Are they going to move him back to RB where he never plays. This stuff is silly. It can also begin to look bad on the coaching.

Tennessee can't decide where it wants to use Jeremy Bank
The freshman was back at running back on Tuesday after being shifted to linebacker last week. Banks did not play any defensive snaps in Saturday's game against South Carolina, but he received good reviews on his initial practices at linebacker.

You’re projecting. You want him to look bad...so you see it where it ain’t. Article sounds a little behind. Price already put out that this is a depth move. Good chance Chandler and Jordan sit or play sparsely to heal up. Then we have a heavy dose of CFA and London. Banks not playing linebacker in four games after just converting to the position isn’t going to wreck any future success. Coaches can’t worry about what moves look like to uninformed fans...they got games to coach.

Butchna it begins to look bad after awhile. Play the kid more than just special teams. Don't keep moving him without playing him. Don't say things to us like "he could play Saturday" and then not play the kid and then to add insult to injury of the coaching staff turn around a week later and put him back at RB.

I like this coaching staff too Butchna but all this moving around can have unintended consequences.
I said in the beginning that this coaching staff was one of the best in the country and I still believe that but I suppose Pruitt is the one doing this and it can begin to look very bad on the coaching staff and you of all people know it

so i'm seeing some consternation about some of the player moves.

there's an old saying "if it ain't broke, don't fix it".

but sometimes, it's applicable to alter that to "if ain't broke, break it".

and i think that's where were were coming in to this season. there's no harm in changing anything, it can always be changed back. but why not try as many things as possible that you might think would help? worst case, it doesn't help.....

Banks asked, more than once, to be moved to LB. he knew going in what it was and what the deal would be.

you're reading in to it what you want to at this point. and it's clear you're either ignoring the other informaiton on the subject that's available or you haven't sought it out.

No jake I am reading the press releases. There are different ways of saying things that could help. Like saying " we may need to pull some players out of their normal position in order to help the team the remainder of the season. Read the release. Even the players were somewhat left scractching their heads. So its not just me. I don't think you can do things like this. Its not fair to Banks. Then some things Pruitt says to reporters or in pressers just exacerbates the problem. Listen to the reporters. They are beginning to pick up on these things. Then you have to wonder about what recruits will begin to think

I agree....I would like...Really I would not!!! Like to see the product that most of our posters that constantly call out the staff would put on the field from recruiting to play call to position analysis.....Lot's of complaining about a first year coach and staff that has zero clue of what it takes to succeed from Recruiting to finished product.

You're holding on way to tight.. OMG the reporters are starting to 'pick up' on things.. That's a good one.. The day Pruitt starts worrying about what you, I or any reporter says/thinks about how a team should be run is the day he needs to hit the road...

It's clear you have an agenda. You didn't get your way in the coaching search, you obviously don't like Pruitt and you're making sure VolNation knows it...... It's folks like you that truly make this place entertaining...

Something I noticed was that JG used a very effective "duck" move on the first touchdown to the tight end, then unfortunately he fell in love with it and by the fourth quarter he was doing it pretty much every play and the defense didn't even flinch anymore. How about one of the best coaching staffers in America reminding him to use that technique judiciously?

They end up winning...no one cares about the aesthetics. This is the time when fans second guess and over analyze...when there’s uncertainty. Pruitt’s spent the majority of his adult life as a coach. If a move is made its football grounded.

How do you know they didn’t? Betting that DUCK MOVE wasn’t number one on their game plan tho.
