Per Jimmy Hyams. Currently dealing with an ankle injury and a banged up wrist

Let's have a long, serious look at Mr Byrd then. He may take the job and never give it back IMO.

Geez, you guys are brutal. If not for him, we wouldn't have won the Georgia game last year. He has given his all in some tough games. I hate that he gets hurt often, and I'm excited to see what Byrd can do. But don't act like he's been a scrub.

Agreed. Love Josh, VFL and singlehandedly turned the tide of the Georgia game last year, but Tyler is just on a whole other level. He is explosive, great hands and he can run 23.7 mph!

I am not trash talking the guy. He has pretty good hands but he gets hurt a lot I hope it isn't anything too serious.

I love Smith, maybe his injuries kept him from performing like last year. And now the coaches have enough confidence in Byrd that they can give Smith a break this game. Just an opinion

Agreed, on the season Josh has had at least as many drops as he's had catches. Ready for a go get it rather than a come here guy in the slot. Jennings, Malone, and Williams have all shown that so far this year.

With Malone, PW, JJ, Byrd, Croom, Wolfe... and only 100 passing yards to split, this is the least of my worries.

Obviously, I hope for a speedy and full recovery though.

Anyone who doesn't realize Smith's lack of production comes from the other Josh or our O-Line issues is mistaken. If Dobbs has time or delivers well thrown balls Smith is the type of consistent performer to help us move chains and score points. One more thing it's in out best interest if Byrd can make the next step. You know what helps Dobbs, Smith and our teams success? As many threats as possible. I totally am with others that are baffled at any who bashing the very kid who saved our season before halftime of Georgia game.

Yep. He's isn't the most talented WR on our roster but he's been our most consistent. No way he stays off the field for the rest of the season.

Ok. You guys keep saying this even though there is no evidence to back it up.

Does he even have a catch this season?

Our most consistent receiver right now is Josh Malone. No one else has even come close.
