Listening to SportsTalk earlier, they mentioned that Josh McNeil was involved in an off-campus incident over the weekend. Police responded to a broken window at his apartment in south Knoxville and when they got to his apt, they knocked trying to get him to answer. A UT athletics official then went to the apt and got him out and police found 3 underage girls had been drinking, one of which was McNeil's girlfriend. Everyone in the apt was asleep, which was why they didn't answer the knocking. All of the girls were cited for underage consumption and McNeil said he broke the window to get in because he didn't have his keys and was locked out. McNeil was not cited and will not face disciplinary action.

hmmm..... well, kids will be kids. I'm glad to see there will be no disciplinary action taken.

:dunno:

I highly doubt Josh is the only male athlete at this school that had an underage drunk girl with him

that happened to a buddy of mine once, except his keys to his place were in another friends apt, and he broke their window to get in and get his keys so he could drive home.

he left a note apologizing for hte window. the cops called my buddy (the one that lived at the apt) on his cell phone and told him the news:
"hello?"
"yes, this is officer so and so with the Charlotte PD"
"what's the matter officer?"
"well, your apt has been broken in to".
"is anything missing? is everything ok?"
"we're still looking around, but it appears your window was broken, everything looks to still be here, TV, Stereo, computer and stuff".
"OK, what do i need to do now?"
"well, nothing, it appears they left a note."

the cop told him who signed it, he laughed, and hung up the phone.

good times indeed.

Hmmm. My question is, if he had an apartment full of drunk girls, WTF is he doing out somewhere that he needs to break the window to get back in????? Hell, I'd be boarding the doors shut.

What a crime...Throw him under the jail. O-linemen are not supposed to be pulling three girls at one. I thought that was reserved for the skilled positions. Hell i was a center and only managed one at a time.

Cracks me up some people think this is a big deal. They were safe, in an apartment, and asleep. Not like they were out in public, or worse driving around, which I can guarantee a lot of underage people were doing the same night in Knoxville. The only thing that ticks me off about the situation is that I can't get 3 drunk chicks to spend the night with me.

I've seen what "grass fairies" can pull. It's usually artsy, hemp laden, and eccentric. They may or may not be good looking but those 3 characteristics always fit the bill.

Anyway women love them some baseball players.

Don't forget unshaven. A major drawback.

The guy got drunk and went to sleep at night, give him a break. Who cares about his stupid girlfriend, as long as they're not on NBC it doesn't really matter who he's sleeping with. I think it's pathetic they cited his SLEEPING girlfriend with underage drinking. That's pretty piss poor in my opinion.

Some weird story just released on the sportsanimal about him having three underage drunk girls in his apartment at Woodmeade (?) and a broken window with blood on it. McNeil had lacerations on him but denies it was the window. No charges for Josh McNeil now but the girls were charged with underage consumption or intoxication. Apparently a neighbor reported a plant being thrown through the window. Weird story.
