People saying that about Pearson when folks like Patterson have come before him is saying a lot.

I'm not an insider to the UTAD and I have never claimed to be. I did pass along some information on Josh back in the summer that some posters like POA criticized and used as cannon fodder.

If you read Hubb's War Room post today, you will see that my information on Josh Malone was accurate to the "dotted i" and to the "crossed t".

Before dips ****s like POA and others attack posters for passing on information, sit back and realize that not everyone is trying to bull**** you or trying to gain "e-cred". Some people just want to pass on truthful and pertinent information. We can not reveal our sources immediately for various and obvious reasons. Just go with the flow until matters can be sorted out.

Bruin, don't write a goodbye letter and come back the next week.

:eek:lol: :eek:lol:

I have a UTK diploma. I'd venture that many here never set foot inside a class on The Hill.

Like I stated, Hubbs War Room vindicated me and showed that the crazies are on the Recruiting Board and not just on the Football Board. As I stated, I am not here for e-cred at all. That is not important to me in the least. You folks are proving my point. :hi:

You're writing novels about how correct you were and how posters should admit they were wrong to doubt you and criticize you, but you're not here for ecred and it's not important to you?

CP's ball skills are and were nothing to write home.about.
Other Vol Wes yes, its a bold statement but not CP. His strength was with ball in his hands not going and getting the ball.

Not to nitpick, but I read "ball skills" to mean catching ability. Patterson was an excellent playmaker with the ball in his hands, but I don't think his catching ability was anything special.

According to his highlight tape and scouting evaluations, I think Pearson is a great possession receiver in the mold of a Chris Carter or Anquan Boldin. That's a different player from somebody like Cordarelle Patterson.

I didn't read into it that much. But for JuCo transfers, I think one of the better ones in recent memory has been CP. It didn't hurt that he had a very accurate QB tossing to him, but once he got his hands on the ball, it was show time.

Either way though, North, Pearson, Malone, Howard, Croom, Young...lots of weapons with various talents at the WR position this year.

He's going to be a beast for UT. Him and North on the field at the same time is going to be fun to watch especially with Pig in the slot. Things will really get fun in another year when Josh has a year in the SEC under his belt and we have Preston Williams to throw out there as well. Those are 3 guys who could all be the #1 WR on the team when their time coma and have big time/NFL potential IMO.

How about Von Pearson this year?

SIAP, I missed it.... Malone is a legacy recruit right? Who was he related to who played here

Well our weakness right now is getting the ball to the receiver... just makes me even more excited for our Malone/North/Pearson tandem... I think they have just as much talent as Patterson/Hunter/Rodgers (had Rodgers not gotten kicked out)

Only time will tell how much these young guys produce...

Do yall think Malone or Pearson post higher numbers in any category than North posted last year? I know Pig posted more receptions. What kind of stats do you predict from our incoming WRs?

Agreed. I think Pearson's skillset will be put to use, fortunately or unfortunately, if the lack of accuracy at QB still persists. He will have to go up and get those high passes.

Patterson didn't have good ball skills though. Hell of an athlete but his ball skills and route running needed work, if not for that he could have been a top 10 pick IMO.

You beat me to it. Should've kept reading.

People don't gang up on him for being a poster. People gang up on him for coming across as a giant, self-absorbed prick who makes snide comments about how everyone else is an idiot and we should all bow to his greatness. Kind of like you.

Am I the only one who is reminded of Sabanocchio every time I read one of babyavi's posts?

Honestly, who knows? It was hard to get a read in exactly what our coaches want to do in the passing game last season because of personnel issues (inexperienced WRs, lack of TEs, inconsistent QB play).

Furthermore, it's hard to predict until we know who our QB will be and what he brings to the table.

The only prediction I'll make about our receiving corps this year is that I believe Marquez North will have the highest YPC. One would think he'd be our best deep threat at this point since he has the most SEC experience, best size, and most experience in an SEC conditioning program.
