A lot of people are forgetting about Croom. He is starting to turn the corner and only a sophomore next year. I look for him to do big things before it is over. Our wide receiver core has the potential to be just plain sick. Maybe the best over at UT before their careers are over.

Yeah I still think Croom has the potential to be a good receiver for us when he puts it all together, I think he will take a big step forward in his 3rd year (2nd in this offense). It seems like people are also forgetting about or writing off Paul Harris. He will be a redshirt freshman (I believe) next year with a year under his belt of learning the offense. I also think he needed some time to hit the weight room and get stronger. He could become a good WR for us down the road as well.

I think all of our receivers will look better with competent qb play

So I know he said he wasn't gonna recruit and was just gonna relax, but obviously that's not true cause he's been on adoree Jackson since he committed. Anyone know who else he's helping out with?

North was competent numerous times... Gave us a win over a top ten team.

North was pretty much it. If you watch our season and several times the QBs throw a great ball but the receiver ran the wrong routes. Really made the QBs look bad.
One of Dobbs picks was Croom running a bad route for example.

North was pretty much our only consistent SEC-level playmaker on offense

Competent nevertheless. I never said we had an all star receiving corp, that they might look better with competent qb play...which we most definitely did not have

Not trying to fight StoVol, just saying the other side. Both groups need to improve drastically this coming year

You can believe what you want.. It's all good. I could be wrong about everything. I think our qb play sucked and when our wr's came out of their breaks, they had no idea where the ball would be. When you know you've got a qb that will throw a zinger right in your grill, you can play with some confidence. I thought that it was self evident our wr's had no confidence in our qb's this year. I'm a former wr/cb so I'd be biased.

Cool but that would imply I do not if you mean they're equally culpable... Which they're not. In my perception of "both sides" of the offense coin our qb play was detrimental to the development and confidence of our wr's. North, as mentioned before, proved we had some capability at the position. Johnson was a tolerable possession receiver. Prob is there's not much of a sample due to inaccurate throws.

I mean when you only have one real target that is getting covered you look bad. Say what you want but that's the truth. And inaccurate throws are sometimes a product of bad routes. But I'm done arguing this. I'm not one for Internet fights. This is all jmo

I'm not fighting, just discussing. What is wrong with people nowadays? You can disagree with someone and not get pissed about it...used to you could anyways. What the hell does it matter to you so much if I think our qb play sucked so bad it was hard to assess our wr's? What StoVol thinks about it shouldn't be important enough for you to consider an "Internet fight"

I'm not mad at you or trying to punk you out vol brother, I acknowledge wr play has an impact on qb play

Haha yea I have no quarrels with you either my vol friend. And I agree as well that a QB has to play well for WRs to get confidence. Out of the incoming receivers, who do you predict to have the biggest impact next year?

Jäger? You're name should be bowlsister if you drink that sugery cough syrup tasting trash.

You should never criticize another man's drink. His woman is ok, but his drink of choice is off limits. Not that I disagree with your assertion though.

I like croom, mainly cause his mom posts on here and is amazing.

But

He needs a makeover on all things football before he'll be a factor on this offense.

He just got recruited over in a big way.
