what a moron

A YouTube video from a charity flag football game in July has Dallas Mavericks forward Josh Howard embroiled in controversy yet again. The video, from Allen Iverson's event, shows Howard, as the national anthem is being sung, saying: "'The Star-Spangled Banner' is going on. I don't celebrate this [expletive]. I'm black." Howard also makes a hard-to-hear reference to Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama

You beat me to it. I just read it on yahoo and I'm disgusted. I'm black and he is making me feel a bit ashamed right now.

It's sad that he doesn't recognize that the US has offered him the opportunity he has to play for a very handsome living and the right to make such ludicrous comments without repercussions, save public opinion.

Count me as no longer a fan.

You know something that made me laugh about what he said? It's how he said it.

How in the hell do you celebrate the National Anthem?!

I was never a fan but he deserves a mention in the punch thread.
I was a fan while he was at Wake and before the antics started in Dallas. His first years in the league he was a hard worker, hustler, defender and underrated scorer.

Now he's just another in the long line of morons.
