Josh Dobbs will compete to be Steelers' No.2 QB in 2018

I by no means am no football expert but I am a Steelers fan. By all the periodicals that I have read. Pittsburgh is going to draft the Oklahoma State QB. He is tall and can see down the field.
This means that either Dobbs or Jones will be the odd man out
Yeah people think that 2nd string competition will be a 2 player battle , . but it can easily be a 3 horse race

The reason why Kamara is so good is he's "consistent"

JD is NOT.

The NFL teams wants a player who consistently does what is needed. JD keeps making mistakes.

#1 QB rating in the SEC (2016)
#1 in Total TDs in the SEC (2016)
#1 in Passing TDs in the SEC (2016)
61.5% career completion %
School record for TDs in a season
#2 all-time in total TDs in Tennessee history
#3 all-time in total yards in Tennessee history

We can all have our opinions. But we don't have the right to our own facts. The facts of Josh Dobbs career says he was CONSISTENT.

If he wasn't consistent, then no QB in Tennessee history was ever consistent because Josh Dobbs owns the school record for TDs in a season and is #2 all-time in total yards for a season.

Even worse. Fournette and his 3.9 YPC are straight garbage.

Nobody cares about that. He got injured and ACLs are serious. He might never be the same. No good came from that rookie season.

And guess what. I still stand by it. Fournette has been exposed as a chump. 3.9 YPC is straight trash. I know you're big on that stat since it's all you focused on in 2016 with Hurd. And FTR, I agreed with you that Hurd was pathetic in 2016. However, in 2015 he was the best RB in college football.

In 2015 Hurd averaged 4.6 ypc and ran for 1285 yards... Those numbers were good for 4th in the SEC in yards and 13th in ypc. So I’m not sure how those numbers make him the best in the sec or ncaa for 2015

Best Pro Prospect.

I should make that more clear but I thought by now y'all got it. I judge college players by their NFL potential. I could care less about statistical accomplishments in college.

Its the same reason I said Alvin Kamara was the best RB in college football in 2016. I didn't care for his college production. I was judging his talent in relation to how good he would be in the NFL.

Your best in the ncaa comment through me off then. He’s listed as a receiver now. Still think he’s a good nfl prospect?

I have to watch him play WR/TE before I can tell you whether he's a good NFL prospect at those positions. In terms of pure athletic ability, he's definitely a good NFL prospect. He has a combination of size and athleticism that is RARE.

But what about the eye test?

Tyler bray doesn't have what Josh Dobbs does up stairs. Playing quarterback is 95% mental and Josh has plenty of brains which Tyler bray does not so much. I can easily see JD compete for the number 2 spot with another year under his belt.

That's faulty logic. You can be book smart and be a terrible QB. Football IQ remains supreme. Manning is a good example of having both.

That's very untrue. Bray was simply immature and in a terrible situation, and to compare their talent isn't even close. Every NFL team would probably take him over Dobbs. Dobbs is a better athlete, Bray is a FAR better QB. Arguably as good as of a QB talent wise as we've ever had.

Gave you a like cause you are right. I still can't stand him cause of his $.05 head.

Better than you Mr. Dalvin Cook is the best RB in the 2017 draft.

You should sit down and be quiet. Because whether I said it right before the draft or two years earlier, NOBODY on this site had Alvin rated as the #1 RB in the draft but me. NOBODY said he was the next Marshall Faulk but me. And NOBODY said he would be a future Hall of Famer than me.

You thought Cook and Fournette were better than Alvin all the way through the draft so shut up and be quiet.

Kamara is the only thing you’ve gotten right. I think most would suggest you to shut up and be quiet

I don't think you can be a dumba** and play quarterback is all I was saying, and I didn't say every smart quarterback succeeds. Before you say I'm using faulty logic reread what I said please and thank you.

No. Kamara is the biggest thing I've gotten right. He's a Vol so we knew him best. My expectations for him in the NFL were the highest of anyone here and he is living up to them.

Go back and look over my 2017 rankings. I was right on many things. For one, just look at the undrafted free agents I identified would be good players. I said before the draft that Dylan Cole (Texans) and Matt Breida (49ers) would be impact players as undrafted players and they were just that. Pretty impressive on my part considering they weren't even drafted.

Depends on the level. Manziel was a moron. Tyler Bray was a moron. They both are blessed with great talent. I don't think you can play long in the pros without some smarts. I think Peyton Manning had the most football smarts of any QB I have ever seen. He just wasn't blessed with a body built for scrambling and getting away from people.

Please stop using the word we when referring to UT. There is no we, you aren't a fan, you are a bandwagon reject. You are a Dukie first and foremost and really have no business even implying you are a Tennessee Fan.

Lol. Hurd was so damn good, nay, so incredibly great that he up and quit playing running back and moved to trying to play a position he’s never played before. He was a good running back with average ability and good numbers because he got so many touches in 2015. In 2016 he was THE worst starting running back in the SEC. in 2017 he quit the position.

Yeah, keep standing behind your position that Hurd was the best pro running back prospect in the country. Hell, everybody but you understands he was far from even being the best pro prospect on his own team, much less the conference or country.

I said Alvin was the best pro RB prospect in 2016 and I was proven right. Similarly, in 2015, I said Jalen was the best pro RB prospect. And if he hadn't gone crazy he would have been the 2nd best rookie RB in the NFL this season after Kamara.

As I suspected. Run away from the cold hard data that you cannot counter.

Leonard Fournette = 3.9 YPC

Let that marinate. That is your #1 RB that you kept saying was so good. I said he was garbage. And thus far I've been proven RIGHT.
