Josh Dobbs - Very impressive career

Dobbs has an unusual skill set. For an SEC qb playing most of the time with a mediocre offensive line, Dobbs proved he can physically play the game with the big boys. If you recall some running qbs of the past like Brent Schaeffer, he juked around a lot with much flair and would gain 3 - 4 yards. Dobbs glides through traffic and gains 15 yards seemingly effortlessly. Add in his high character and intelligence, NFL teams ought to give Josh Dobbs a long look. You get used to watching Josh and his truly unique skills go unnoticed. This man is a helluva ballplayer. His passing improved markedly this season. If I were an NFL scout, I would take a 4th round chance on Dobbs and see what he can do - even on the taxi squad as insurance for a year.
Dobbs is a reincarnation of one of my favorite NFL players of all time Steve McNair.

I've said it before, there are many games we don't win if not for Dobbs creating opportunities. Best wishes to a great kid and VFL going forward. He's been fun to watch.

His durability and toughness have been remarkable.

Its amazing that he's only taken one big hit his entire career (the OT scramble vs App State). And he got right up after that hit and played the next week.

And like you said he seems to just glide on the field. Dobbs is a remarkable talent. It'll be interesting to see what he does on the next level.

Lacked great passing skills and still put up impressive stats. Running ability made for a human highlight reel.

Truly one of the greatest Vols of all time.

Very good career by Josh...best of luck to him whatever he does beyond his playing career.

I'm hoping he doesn't do anything due to being older than Brett Favre when he retires because he's bored of winning Super Bowl rings lol

The only modern QB to lead the school in rushing and passing for the year.

They showed a stat on tv that he was 80 yards away from Peyton's singe season total yardage record. But they never came back to it even though he had some long pass plays after they first said it

Anyone know if the stat was accurate or if he broke it?

Missed breaking by 13 yards I think
