We're not happy. Just not blind to a phenomenal athlete who is a mediocre at best quarterback. He just got shown up by a kid who should be going to a homecoming dance. Dobbs should've been moved to receiver and had a guy who can throw in at quarterback. Too late now, but some of us have been saying that for 3 years now.

Question though. Do you think this performance vs SCar hurt Josh's draft stock? Do you think he falls to being a late first round pick or, gasp!, even as far as the early middle of the second round?

He won't be drafted.. the NFL likes QB that completes most of the passes

I was at game but low and in the corner.

Was it just me, or does he consistently throw to a double covered Smith when there's an open 1v1 on the other side of the field?

I guess that's the most frustrating part. He HAS to be seeing those things in the film room. It's baffling that it can't be fixed.

Dobbs processes things extremely slow, whether it be pressure or finding receivers. Below the average QB...

Ironic considering his academic pedigree..

He's a good athlete, but not a true QB. We have this problem in more than one position on this team..

Stats thru 6 games:

1,433 yards passing (238.8 ypg)
14 passing TDs
8 INTs

324 yards rushing (54.0 ypg)
5 rushing TDs

1,757 total yards (292.8 ypg)
20 total TDs (14 passing, 5 rushing, 1 receiving)


Projected Stats thru 13 games:

3,104 yards passing
30 passing TDs
17 INTs

702 yards rushing
11 rushing TDs

3,806 total yards
43 total TDs

Projected Stats thru 15 games: (if we make it to Tampa)

3,582 yards passing
35 passing TDs
20 INTs

810 yards rushing
13 rushing TDs

4,392 total yards
50 total TDs :yikes:


Only real negative on here is the interceptions. And all 8 weren't his fault. Croom and Preston definitely gifted DBs a couple. If Josh can decrease the interceptions slightly, then he'll be on pace for a HISTORIC season.

We just need to make it to Atlanta with our playoff hopes intact and Josh could break all the TD and total offense records at UT.

No Dobbs' problem is he's too smart and overthinks instead of playing. He's the epitome of "paralysis by analysis". I love the kid to death, but he just needs to play.

And he's not consistently getting good coaching.
