The OP makes a positive post about our QB and this ugly post gets 50 likes ???

are you kidding me ?

what a bunch of low class, so called fans we have around here.

You clearly have no idea about the OP's posting history on here. Surely to GOD you have no idea.

Dobbs has improved. His yds/att is at 8. However his completion % is pretty much in line with his career and his INT's are a bit of an issue.

All in all I'm very pleased with his improvement. I argued most of the off season that he didn't lead guys well or place the ball well... he still has some issues but this has gotten much better since VT. He is taking shots down field more often and staying in the pocket.

Appreciate your attempt at some type of reconciliation here, but the kid isn't a Vol fan. He's admitted that he liked Tennessee back in the day when a black kid (Schaefer) was our qb but then stopped watching when Tennessee struggled because "he doesn't waste his time pulling for bad teams".

And then, of course, he threw his temper tantrum at Dobbs, Jones and the whole team after Ohio. A whole lotta real Vol fans have called him out on his crap. You might want to join us by not falling for his psychosis and dishonest rhetoric.

Thanks for the heads up.... Did not know his back history other then every time I try to read over a posting it is saturated with his bs and everyone taking the bait and reacting to it.

I will be clear, I have not fallen for a damn thing. I come on here to read and talk Vols, not entertain juvenile soap opera crap from a bunch of "Special Snowflakes".

Be Safe,

CH_V

PS- Due to UT's front loaded schedule, Dobbs will probably have a pretty impressive season by the time all is said and done if Jones lets him throw.

I think it will hurt more than help. Josh won't throw as much against weaker comp.

setting himself up to be correct either way. If Dobbs numbers arent good he right, if his number are good he right.

I posted a thread after the Florida game about Dobbs total TD's compared to the rest of the country. Regardless of if he gets it done through the air or on the ground, Dobbs is a top 10 QB in the country and the numbers are supporting that, considering the competition.

Dobbs hasn't been incredible, but he has picked it up in the second half every time and has given his team a chance to win.

You could be right but the "brand" of this O is now set. It appears they tried to be last year's O and failed. Outside of the turnovers, what they did against TAM was masterful. Just imagine, 3 less turnovers and we're probably talking about a blow out while having 4 turnovers.

It would be a monumentally stupid mistake to try to change the brand for the rest of this season.

He's been very good much of the time.

His QB rating is currently 2nd in the SEC against the SEC and the Vols have played 3 of the 4 toughest opponents on the schedule.

I remember alot of people fighting with me in the off-season when I predicted Dobbs would have 4,000 total yards and 40 total TDs this season. Guys like KBVol called that pure fantasy.

Well lets look at the numbers so far and see how close to reality my pre-season prediction is. cfbstats.com - Joshua Dobbs 2016 Player Statistics - Tennessee Volunteers

Stats thru 6 games:

1,433 yards passing (238.8 ypg)
14 passing TDs
8 INTs

324 yards rushing (54.0 ypg)
5 rushing TDs

1,757 total yards (292.8 ypg)
20 total TDs (14 passing, 5 rushing, 1 receiving)

Projected Stats thru 13 games:

3,104 yards passing
30 passing TDs
17 INTs

702 yards rushing
11 rushing TDs

3,806 total yards
43 total TDs

Projected Stats thru 15 games: (if we make it to Tampa)

3,582 yards passing
35 passing TDs
20 INTs

810 yards rushing
13 rushing TDs

4,392 total yards
50 total TDs
:yikes:

Only real negative on here is the interceptions. And all 8 weren't his fault. Croom and Preston definitely gifted DBs a couple. If Josh can decrease the interceptions slightly, then he'll be on pace for a HISTORIC season.

We just need to make it to Atlanta with our playoff hopes intact and Josh could break all the TD and total offense records at UT.

Bump.

I do think (hopefully) he will come back against SC with a vengeance like somebody stole something after the thrashing he took and make up for lost time.

No doubt it appears D4H is wrong, but we are coming up on the lesser teams on the schedule, we would win by blowouts for that to happen(not impossible).

Obviously the 13-0 can't happen.(blue(thanks for rubbing it in)blue)

But who wouldn't say the A&M loss was due to some turn of events or whatever Kessling said about The Dobb Nail Boot. -3 three on turnovers why would you expect to win? We are the Vols. We die hard and never give in. The fact that we had 6 turnovers (the 7th one cost us the game, the 1st 6 is what put us in a position to loose) and a chance to win is "crazy"(a word both Dobbs and CBJ have used describing this run of improvement) and it reminds me of the 1997 SECCG when we beat Auburn(Who was MVP? Manning or Wilson(That's Mr. Wilson for you Bandwagoneers). And while we are at it 19991(?) Sugar Bowl when we drummed(yes I said drummed) Virgina(Dooley was on the team), Andy Kelly still has my adoration.

So ease up on the poor Jackwagon of a Bandwagoneer. Don't hate just because you don't understand. I don't understand being a bandwagoneer, I do understand being a Jackwagon.

Jump higher Vols.

Good stuff, KB. The truth hurts.

To be clear, I love Josh Dobbs.......but a disingenuous, condescending blowhard VN poster, not so much. I've been defending and advocating for Josh well before D4H ever authored his first ridiculous post on VN.

I hope Joshua blows it out the remainder of year. If he hits the projected numbers he's now on, he will have had an outstanding senior season IMO. 2800 yards passing, another 500+ yards running and 35 tds is a great improvement over last year and an outstanding season on its own. Also, our offense is only gonna go as far as Josh Dobbs takes it for the remainder of the season. But it sure looks like he's not gonna get to 4150 yards and 42 tds. To do so he's gotta average 389 total yards per game and he's gotta score 22 tds in 6 games.
