How can VolNation help raise money for such a great cause in the name of a Tennessee legend?

If only roughly 4300 big orange fans donated 5.00 each, they would reach their goal......

4300 Vol fans? That's nothing....

The honorary Jalen Hurd scholarship fund. Good for 2.5 years.

You could have just as easily picked a great VFL in football history as your example.

There is nothing wrong with being honest. There are good things to be honest about.

Your Hurd comment is tacky.

Examples: Reggie White Scholarship goes to a DE. The Mark Adams goes to a TE.

It's fun and easy.

His Hurd comment is a little tacky. Naming every scholarship is even tackier.

That is really a great way to thank him and his family for their faith, hard work, and dedication to the school.

Well deserved by Josh...

Would be better if already funded...having the idea is one thing...funding it is another.

Completely spot on from the article.

“When Joshua was beginning his career, you had the academic scandal to UNC and the unionization movement at Northwestern. Many of us were questioning whether the idea of a true student-athlete was a thing of the past,” said Ideker. “Then, here comes this kid from Alpharetta who majors in aerospace engineering with a minor in business and finishes a year early. His accomplishments on the field were awesome, but that was just a platform to positively represent the university. He is the true embodiment of the Torchbearer.”

Cheesy or corny maybe.

Imagine once we get a recruit on campus, we show them around as usual then at some point show some highlights of a VFL, someone like an Al Wilson or a Trey Teague, as the video is wrapping up Al or Trey comes into the room and tells the recruit that he is being offered the Al Wilson Scholarship. Explain how it's set aside for MLBs. He would be wearing his 2 SEC Championship rings, a NC ring and his Super Bowl ring.

How many VFL have a Super Bowl ring?
A bunch.

Adams and White didn't quit. That's what Hurd will be tagged as forever.
