Josh Dobbs - NFL Draft thread (merged)

Didn't seem to get much out of it. Maybe a career change? Walmart ain't going to greet itself.

Well...one thing's for sure...

Dobbs 4 Heisman has been SPOT-ON in EVERY prediction he's EVER made...

Right down to his Screen Name.

I thought he was better as a true freshman. I stand by it. Ainge was a choke job. See, I think Kelley was much better than Dobbs. Cockrell was a gamer. I don't even consider Crompton.

And you get all cranky when "yungins" don't agree with you! :aggressive: Life's too short...moreso for some than others. :wink2:

This is a terrible situation for Dobbs. Chargers already traded nearly an entire draft for a QB. They can't afford to use a 2nd on a QB, tho they may not have a choice.

Perhaps, with all his skills as a talent evaluator, D4H has been hired by the Chargers front office.

Thats how he knows.

Los Angeles Chargers.

Gonna take time getting used to that.

Don't ask me how I know but this is gonna happen.

The positive here is that Josh gets picked high in the 2nd round. Will be great for Josh and his family. And it will be great for our program to have a QB selected that high in the NFL draft. The negative is that he will probably have to sit for a year or two behind Philip Rivers. In all likelihood the most action we will see from Josh the next two years in the NFL is in the preseason. I would have preferred Josh getting drafted by the Steelers if he was gonna have to sit for a couple of years behind an aging veteran QB. But I guess the Chargers will have to do.

Time to start buying some Chargers gear.

It's the best thing for him to sit behind someone like Rivers. Rivers is underrated and he's done a good job on terrible teams.

No agenda and Warren played late 60s and Scott played into 1970...yep that's considered modern era. Warren, Scott and Cockrell were all better than Ainge and Dobbs and it isn't even close.

Wow. Alan Cockrell, the 26 career touchdown passes/27 career interceptions guy who ran for -16 yards in his career.....who quarterbacked Tennessee to 6-5-1 and 9-3 seasons....who was actually a better baseball player? Alrighty...

And stop with Warren and Scott. They were solid QBs in a resoundingly different era of college football. Neither were nearly as athletic and productive as either Josh or Erik, simply couldn't do what those two could.
