So happy for him. On the SI.com site

“Among the Browns’ cuts to round out the 53-man roster Tuesday is quarterback Josh Rosen, the team announced. Josina Anderson of CBS Sports was the first to report the news.

It was first reported that Cleveland would work out Rosen and AJ McCarron on July 21 in the preparation for Deshaun Watson’s eventual 11-game suspension for violating the NFL’s player conduct policy. Jacoby Brissett is expected to start the first 11 games of Cleveland’s 2022 season, while Joshua Dobbs will serve as his backup.”

For some reason two teams just refuse to give him a shot.

Pittsburgh gave him numerous chances. I can’t recall if was last year or yr before, but Dobbs was injured for the season.

They just refuse to believe that he can win games with his legs

Doing it in the preseason against guys fighting for a roster spot is one thing. Trying to win games with your legs against the NFL starters is a whole other animal. To do that you have got to be either Cam Newton or Michael Vick.

I wish Dobbs had gotten with the Chiefs, Rams or maybe the Bucs. Polish his passing some more and I believe he could be an NFL starter.

Well at least he’s hung around long enough to get a pension

Always like to see the former Vols become NFL stars. But I'm almost as happy if they just manage to stay in the league long enough to have lucrative careers as back-ups. That's a measure of success that is above and beyond what most cfb players ever realize.

You just can't beat the Man who doesn't quit. It wouldn't shock me to see Him starting for them at some point this season. And I could think of worse jobs than being a backup QB in the NFL for 10 or so years.

Man, we love this dude. Good person, great athlete…I hope he gets a shot and hits a stride. HAS A STORYBOOK season.

I loved this guy from the day he committed. But above all he may have ended the annual HOB-NAIL BOOT fest the networks always featured. No way they can run that and not follow it with the DOBB NAIL BOOT answer. Just compare the plays or even the time constrained drives and ours is more impressive. I am guessing they may just them them both fall off the map rather than let a UT ending be featured.
