so what was Peytons W/l ohh 7-1 .

So Peyton played WR, RB, OL, TE, DL, LB, DB and special teams? Wow. He really is the greatest athlete to ever play in any team sport. So tell me how many sacks did Peyton have? Or tackles for loss? Or TD receptions? Or rushing TDs?

Just felt like he should've came out a couple of series in the SC game. See what was going on out there, calm down then get back out there. That should've happened. Not the same as being bench. He was a special player and talent and most of the time fun to watch. He was not a perfect player by any means. Locked in on guys and footwork could be bad but still a very good and special kid.

He was having a bad game and still put them in a position to win. Remember that he wasnt called for holding on that td run.

Given our roster, Dobbs would have been a 1, maybe 2, year QB.... Seeing how coaching has revitalized Peterman, Cut wouldn't necessarily have ensured Dobbs would be the starter.... Imagine had Ferguson stayed.... Who is the starter... Cut rotated 3 QB's in one year for 8 games at Ole Miss..... Cut would have had too many quality QB's at his disposal to decide on one.

Truth be known, Dobbs was made the starting QB when other QBs were injured or failed at the job. The QB well was pretty dry at that time. Like most true freshmen who are called on under those conditions and little or no experience have a very rough time and so did Dobbs. What he did that the others did not do is give up and took the lumps until he and his offense grew into what it is today. I was one who did not believe he could throw the ball well enough to be a factor. However, his running abilities have progressed to the point that defenses had to adjust their schemes and try to account for his running abilities which opened up the passing game , especially the deep throw which has become a very important part of today’s offense. Yards per catch have increased as has his completion percentage. He is the best running QB to ever play at Tennessee, excluding those who ran the single wing when it was the offense of choice at Tennessee. He has very string legs and is very difficult to tackle. His difficult outing at USCe may have been a result of an overconfident team or the fact that their defense was designed to control his opportunity to run. When that happened, his passing opportunities also became more difficult. Don’t think we would have as many games as we did.will this year without Dobbs as our QB.

All of that being said, i will miss his play but I am also believe we will have an outstanding offense in 2017. Our OL will be better. the running backs will be very good, especially if re can recruit another quality running back, and the receivers will be as good or better. The passing game will be again play an important part in our offense and we will score a lot of points.

You clowns forgot the days of Crompton, Stephens, Nance, Simms, and Nick Lamaison. When we prayed for someone to come in and direct this team that could get out of the pocket, complete some throws downfield, and avoid a sack. Well, the prayers were answered through Dobbs, but you still want someone better. He puts it in the endzone whether running or throwing, bottom line.

Fixed your post. He has put up unrivaled stats the last three weeks, but against quality teams, he has been very inconsistent passing the ball in the medium and deep range.
