Yes, it's definitely the qb position that's held us back against Bama. We've had everything else in place. Better recruiting, a legendary coach on our sidelines, a top flight OC/QB coach and a world class AD. Curse you Dobbs and your Alabama ineptitude.

You are a perfect example of what is wrong with certain members with this board. I hope someone spends the rest of your life pointing out any negative trait that you possess. Even Peyton Manning was winless against Florida, so give it a blasted rest!

And to add to that, he didn't really have the best team around him his whole time here

i love Josh Dobbs. He has a special place in my heart. I have watched him develop on and off the field during his time at UT. I am very proud of him and what he has accomplished over the past 4 years. I believe that he truly gives his all for UT. I wish him all the best in his future endeavours. I am not a football expert, but I like the game and I love UT and the VOLS and follow them closely. I have not felt such admiration for a UT football player since Peyton Manning. I will miss him playing for the VOLS.

Wow! This thread has gone nowhere.

It's too celebratory about one of the finest young men ever to don the orange and white. Who cares that he has been just the kind of leader needed to push and pull this program up from the doldrums it was in. So what that he epitomizes the word "class" in all that he has done. So what that less than 24 hours ago he put up another dazzling performance, keeping us on track for another step forward.

We prefer to wallow in the self-indulgent muck that makes us miserable, bashing the coaches and each other in our never-ending quest for perfection.

I'd rather just bump this thread and encourage others to keep on bumping it when the naysayers ignore it while wracking their brains to find new ways to say, "Fahr Butch!"

Dobbs costed us the game via turnovers last year in Tuscaloosa

Dobbs accomplished a lot here and we owe him gratitude getting us back to being relevant (cue the negavols saying we aren't relevant because we didn't win the East). It's been a long time since we've had a QB as accomplished on and off the field as Dobbs. He frustrated me at times with his throws, but then he wowed me with some of his plays and refusal to lose. Congrats Dobbs!

Oh yeah, the last time I checked, we have more than 1 player. We could have had Peyton under center at his best and not beat Bama this year.

...all while getting a degree in aerospace engineering. That is the real twist of the knife.

Manning was 0-4 against Florida. Your point is?

0-3....didn't start, barely played vs Florida as a freshman. Also, he was great vs UF as a sophomore.

Similarly, Dobbs wasn't 0-4 vs Bama as he only played the second half vs Bama as a frosh.
