One of the reasons most such as myself feel they will not make a good hire is that Cheek will limit Hart's ability to make the hire.Since he is the president of the University, why does he not reign in Jimmy Cheek? I never even hear his name mentioned around here. What gives?

DiPietro and Cheek are more concerned with making UT a top academic institution so I think Hart has a list in mind and they will let him make the decision with probable input from Grunfeld and Houston..............

DiPietro is a veterinarian and an academic by trade who is the president of the entire UT system. He likely has very little if anything to do with athletics.

DiPieteo must prefer to remain behind the scene since he is seen about as much as Ashley Manning! I don't know how involved he gets with Hart but I would think he leaves him alone & let's him do his job. Not so sure about Cheek though, he seems to pop up everywhere! Cheek seems like a micro manager who mainly gets in the way.
