Jordan McRae in rotation vs. Belmont

Thank God. Then we get Bone back, and McRae takes McBrick's spot.

That's too much pressure on a true freshman. How on earth could he possibly handle trying to provide the contributions that Pearl has provided?

I can't wait to see if McRae can open up tonight against Belmont. I hope that he can earn is way into the rotation permanently. You can't keep talent like that riding the pine. I have seen this kid in action and I know what he can do for this team.

Exactly what contributions has Pearl made besides hustle. I really don't want to hear the hustle effort. The reason we are on this losing streak is lack of offense. So I ask what contribution has Pearl made?

You actually think he would be a better option than Pearl?

I can't say for certain if can or will ultimately take the job from pearl but at least he is an offensive weapon that teams have to guard.

How many players beside McBee have had the aggressiveness to pretty consistently foul players 30-35 feet from the basket. I know of no other player on the team that has any chance of playing that has the ability to force the defender to drop 10-15 feet away and allow double teaming of another teammate while he is left completely alone. Have you not been watching the games?

That's a stupid question...yes! He can shoot, he's fast, and he can drive. Pearl can....hustle and get fouled

You aren't giving Pearl credit. He is the only player that can force his defender to play 10-15 feet away from him. He is one of two that shows the aggressiveness to be able to foul the opponent 30-35 feet from the basket. He understands his role---catch the ball when passed and try to get rid of it ASAP, play overly aggressive defense and foul often, try to improve team rebounding by missing every free-throw attempt, take minutes away from others on the bench that might actually provide some contribution to the team. Besides that, as many have indicated, he hustles and gives it every thing he has---just unfortunate that he doesn't have anything to give.

I've sort of always wondered why they don't let Swiperboy play the 3. He'd be better than Pearl on the offensive side, and better than McRae defensively.

I think that maybe coming in the future. He will never be able to truely play the 4 and be good at. He does not have the body to go with his height.
