Jordan Allen no longer transferring

it sounds like she preparing him... to be able to motivate himself for whatever success he desires.
Jordan wants to be closer to home because he's worried about his momma. Which maybe played a big part in his lack of progression

She's basically telling him, don't ever quit! And that he needs to learn to live for himself...
All his struggles and more importantly perseverance will elevate his life

This woman is facing her own mortality every day with her bout of cancer. So her perspective is a different one for sure.

I feel for Jordan. As a son...how could you not want to be near your mother in a time like this in her life.
On the other side, the hope of Jordan rising up and reaching his dreams brings her more happiness than he could know...

And she knows Pruitt, Rocker and those guys can get him there.
She is an amazing mother it sounds like...

My Mom was in her 80s when she passed. Long +good life. Evan at that, still hard. Gotta be tough on the young man. Football can take a backseat during these times. Hope the staff gives him all the support he needs, and hope he comes out on the other side a better man with no regrets.

That’s the kind of attitude this team needs. We need the kids that will go harder when things aren’t going their way, not turn and run tonlook for an easier path.

You missed the point regarding attitude. This is a kid who loved his mom all the more in her hour of greatest need. As a loyal son, felt it his duty to be near so he could be there for her. That she said that wasn't what she needed so much as his finishing what he started is a further testament to her love for him. This isn't about his going harder, it's about a son's love for his mom. Nor is it about fulfilling a selfish fan gratification. May all sons love their moms enough to put their own dreams on hold just to give back some of that love their moms gave them since birth.

If JA was struggling any last year.. It would be easy to see why.. Kid has a lot on his plate! With his mom letting him know how she feels.. This may take a load off his shoulders! Hats off to this young man and to his mom!

Ms. Lisa seems like an amazing mom. One of my favorite stories I’ve read about her is that when CJP first called her to recruit Jordan, she cussed him out and told Coach he couldn’t recruit Jordan. CJP promised her that he would no longer recruit Jordan, and he took the call so well that she called him back and said he could talk to Jordan. Here’s a link to an article that tells that story: Vols' Allen 'unbelievable' in dealing with mother's illness

It's conceited fans like you who periodically make me ashamed of being a Vols fan. But then along come some of those who remind me that ass jacks, jackasses, jackals, and just plain asses aren't orange. Nor true Vols fans. Or barely human for that matter. That they're just an insensitive and self-centered putz like a certain like a certain pumpkin guts and pimple pus personage we all know.
