Jones: We will sign 30...

The only rule they have to abide by if Eric wants to pay for their tuition is to not take an official visit to UT. It's halfway through the season and they have yet to take an official visit, and they haven't planned one for the future. South Carolina is the last big home game (I guess you could consider Auburn a big game) and they aren't official visitors this weekend. Do you think they are saving their official visit for the Vandy game? I know I wouldn't.

Or they could just be waiting to take their official visits after football season, they know what the gameday atmosphere is like at UT so they might prefer an ov in the offseason that allows them to spend more time with the coaches who aren't preoccupied with a game

you sir are the reason this board gets such bad name and makes vols fans look bad...I don't care if they are not a postion of need blah blah...that family bleeds orange and they will play there hearts out for us in Knoxville so they are a take no matter what!! if they say yes Butch Gets IT!! You Sir Don't!!

What the hell is this about?

Seems like he made a pretty fair assessment to me. I really like Evan as a player, but we aren't in dire need of him. I'm not sure Elliot will ever find a position, I believe his contributions will more than likely take place on special teams.

With that said I'm sure both are Vols, but it wouldn't hurt my feelings too bad if they weren't.

He was all over the maggitt will RS story way before anybody thought it possible. He gained huge cred for that from me. I thought he was crazy at the time

Not sure why everyone was so optimistic about Curt playing. Dude has been injured and was playing through a few injuries. I knew he wouldn't be back this year, and I'm glad he took a year to get back in shape so he can play a full season at 100%.

You were a hell of a lot smarter than me and many here. I must have missed your post telling us that back in August

When you consider that we have 30 spots, that we have 26 commits, then factor in the Berry twins, Hendrix, Genesy, the JUCO DTs, Malone, Mosely, a 3rd RB, etc., one thing is apparent.

Either a number of current commits are going to be signing elsewhere, whether of their own free will or not, and/or the Berry twins are not the lead pipe solid lock to the Vols that has been assumed for months.

Keeping the class we have mostly intact and signing the Berrys isn't an option on the table. Jones is turning away Genesy? No way. Hendrix? Nope. Jackson or Garrett? You all know better. Pearson? I can only laugh at the notion. Reed or Lamin?

Fact is, of the 26 recruits currently committed to UT, it's a safe bet no more than 20 of them will be Vols on NSD (or earlier for EEs and some JUCOs).

Our entire class seems like a very tight nit group of guys with an exception to 1 or 2 so it will be very interesting to see who will leave

I think we lose 3. The only one I'll say is Kameel bc he's not playing and we're after Pearson.

We also cannot afford academic casualties.

I think we lose 2 current commits, take Hendrix, Mosley, Malone, Pearson, one JUCO DT, Berry, and Berry. Dews greyshirt.

I agree. The new coaching staff has turned Team 117 into winners (perceived winners for the Football Forum). With more highly regarded recruits inquiring, things could get very interesting. I am glad I don't have to decide. This recruiting forum would certainly let me know of their displeasure.
