Jones: We will not implement new offense but instead focus on fundamentals

Yes it has been pretty damn but good for the last few years. But if you go look most coaches that are successful Taylor offense to suit their personnel. Josh Dobbs is gone. Even Lane kiffin changed his offense Style to suit his personnel. Unfortunately we had a coach who has only one style in and one offense of scheme. That's okay as long as you recruit exactly what you need but if you try to use what fits outside of that scheme it's like putting the round peg in a square hole. And if you've not recruited what it's your scheme and just recruited for stars then you are in trouble.

100% agree

You really wanna go down this road? So you think he would be doing the same at UT? Or this somehow equates to UT's loss? What's the real point your trying to make here?

To save an argument, I would still take Dobbs over Riley any day of the week.
I wouldn't. I was upset when he left. I told this board that I had talked with a talent scout when he signed who said Riley was the real deal.

I think he's saying our coaching sucks and the guys who leave get Better coaching elsewhere.

Had he transferred to an SEC school and had the same type of success, it would be a much better argument.

I agree Butch and Co underdeveloped talent.

I just don't buy into the Peterman and Ferguson argument that they would have had the same success at UT or SEC in general.

Happy for both though.

He really needs a PR person..everything out of his mouth gets roasted and torn apart

Does the same person who writes for Trump, write for CBJ ?

Why didn't they spend Spring practice and Summer Camp practicing fundamentals? What were they doing during that time?

I stopped saying this was the worst offensive scheme I've ever seen 3 years ago, and its just gotten worse.

I think he's saying at one point we had three NFL qbs on the roster.... And Butch was convinced Worley was the one.

What the hell is eye discipline anyway?

Not vs. Has...

Fundamentals???? Really bUTch(er)?

Like pre-snap penalties?

That's spring ball stufff....not mid season!

BTW, your OC runs basically 4 plays; your team should have mastered those by now (hint to opposing teams....the qb doesn't keep the ball).

Every executive decision you made was wrong.

Hired the wrong OC this past yr for all the wrong reasons.

Hired then retained DeBoring for 2 long yrs.

Picked the wrong qb this yr; chased away talent like Ferguson (and Peterman in the past) who looks better than anything you currently have on this roster.

You have bUTchered this program, brick by brick. Your nothing more than a steaming bag of 110% trite coaches saying. All pain, no gain.

Its really unbelievable when coaches put there back to the wall, after failing miserably, and decide nothing is wrong except fundamentals. The defense is all over our receivers on every route, best we can do is toss it up for the jump ball. Its his job to lose, let him choose his poison.

Why in the world would he change anything, or why would anyone ever think he should? Remember his system is infallible.

Year 5 and were are having to go back and work on our fundamentals and here we are at midseason. Please goodness gracious, somebody stop the insanity. GBO!
