said : “We’ll try to make the best decision to present to him with his different options,”

He said this after he said he will know more later this week.

What could such 'options' mean ?

a) Could it be 'take medical red-shirt this year and comeback next year ? He will be eligible for that.

b) Or have surgery / give shoulder rest to prepare for the combine and draft ?

Based on that line itself, I doubt we will see JRM playing anymore this year. The injury seems worse than I thought initially.

I heard that and thought the same thing about the RS. I also don't think we'll see him again and if we do, he'Il be a bit timid imo. Post-injury Justin Hunter-ish.

Considering that he was not a sure fire pick to go in the first three rounds of the draft, I could see JRM red-shirt and come back nest year.

Sounds to me like try to play with the injury for the rest of the year or have surgery now in preparation for the combine/draft.

Injuries suck, plain and simple. JRM has a bright future. I wish him the best of luck. He has given his all for the Big Orange for sure. I like to watch him play though.

How would that work tuition wise? He would still be on full scholly, right?

I'm happy if he just continues his leadership role with a strong sideline presence and acts like an extra coach for the new linebackers. There is more than one way a player of his caliber can have a tremendous impact on the team.

He won't be back. Shoulder injuries don't heal very quickly and he needs to try and make his money in the NFL. I hate to see him go, but good luck to him.

This scenario is not ideal, but it makes players step up like never before...

My confidence in Jumper and McDowell keeps growing...both are learning on the run and doing a pretty damn good job..

Championship teams find a way...

I'm not bashing Jumper because I think he has stepped up nicely, but I'll feel a lot better about Kirkland and McDowell. They played nicely together when JRM was suspended.

Sounds like he's done. Recover and get ready for the League. He may not be even a third round pick but there will be thousands of people rooting for him in the pros. Some team will be very lucky to have him.

If he's ready by combine time, he'll show out and go top three rounds.

Didn't Al Wilson have the same issues his senior year? He missed some games with a shoulder issue as well.
