So much does the 6-foot-3, 205-pounder relish a challenge -- especially if he’s doubted -- that staffers have said they wouldn’t pick against Jennings battling any of his teammates in the Vols' 'Circle of Life' drills.

Further, the Murfreesboro native and former All-State performer has ignited his entire team more than once as he delivered a vicious hit on special teams.

In fact, more of those might soon be in store for the Vols.

“All you have to do is challenge him. He won’t back down from it,” Jones said. “He always wants to prove himself. Our team feeds off him. Not just the receiving corps but our entire offense."

Jennings' grit outshines his talent

Love it. JJ is Dy-no-mite!

If you're old enough to get that reference, it's probably past your bed time.

Kid deserves every accolade he gets after his performance on Saturday.

I loved his comment about not using Twitter too!

If I were to buy a jersey it'd be his. The kid impresses me with his play. A very talented guy no doubt, but never the most talented guy on the field although he plays harder than those that are do. An old saying is "hard work beats talent when talent doesnt work hard" comes to mind. This guy, he makes me proud to be a Tennesseean.

I don't think we have had a big physical wr like Jennings. I don't think there's a wr in the nation that likes to hit like him. He's a rock. Enjoys catching balls and taking it to the crib just as much as knocking some ones head off. Get this kid on the field in as many ways as possible.

We've needed a mean wr like him, one that doesn't mind taking an unsportsman like conduct-unnecessary roughness penalty to get in the other teams head.

His post game interview was awesome. He really showed how much of a team player he is, very humble too. Hope I see him on campus so he can show me the move he put on Tabor.

He gives me hope that Azzani is earning his paycheck. Looks like a complete monster put there. With him and Malone coming along Dobbs just needs to get the ball near them down field and I think they have a great shot to make a play. Watching Tabor fall down after Jennings skadooshed him will be fun for years.
