Jones Pressor at 11:00!

That's not my list just grabbed it to show what is coming back. If we pick up some Juco DBs I definitely would not move Jennings or Byrd to defense.

Had 2 JUCO DBs on the roster this year, Justin Martin and DJ Henderson. Martin regressed from 2015 and Henderson never got on the field. Given this staff's track record with JUCOs, I don't think that's the answer.

We're extremely humbled and excited at this tremendous opportunity to play against an opponent with such rich history and tradition in college football. This will be a special time for our great group of senior leaders to go out and try to be 1-0 during the Bowl week. These resilient young men want to end the season as champions by winning the Music City Bowl Championship. After already winning the Battle at Bristol Championship, this will be the first team since 1998 that a team from our program has the chance to win 2 championships in one year.

:eek:lol:

Maybe not, don't think he has a choice if he's wanting to fix it quickly.

A couple of quick points.

1. Last year the Penn State board was overflowing with fans saying Franklin was no good and needed to go. These fans loved Penn State and knew they would never be relevant under Franklin. I'm certain that they all felt they were 100% accurate in their evaluation.

2. After the Falcons game yesterday, I heard interviews with the coach and Matt Ryan. What I noticed was that they both used all the same cliches we blast CBJ for using. I then thought about the cliches being used and realized they were actually pretty good answers. Cliches may have developed for a reason...(good simple answers to questions that can't really be answered in a few words.)
And how is that working out for the Falcons? They are crumbling to the ground just like UT did this year. Great comparison though!

What are all of you guys who are constantly crying about Butch going to do if the team finishes 10-2/11-1 or better next year?

There is no way a simple plate of crow will cover all the disgust you're causing the fans who aren't completely miserable with a constant doom & gloom outlook.

I'm willing to roll those dice.

Not sure which butch uses more, cliches or excuses

Do you watch the weekly pressers for several other coaches?

Almost ALL of them regurgitate the same stuff week end and week out. It's just part of the job. For the most part, they hate doing the media conferences anyway, they're just getting through them.

I have watched Alabama play 5-6 times this year alone. I honestly believe Saban says the EXACT SAME THING every time he does his halftime thing.

When a team underperforms everything gets picked apart. If we were 10-2, 11-1, no one would care.

He created this situation for himself. Everyone expected a 5-2 start to the season, maybe 6-1 at best. However, he crapped the bed for the last 5 games of the season losing a division title, a Sugar Bowl Berth, and a chance to do what hasn't been done in a while.

He has always been money on the schedule after Bama, and his coaching royally killed this season. He can royally redeem himself by GOING TO ATLANTA next year. That is the only way he keeps his job... anything short of that is a failure for a coach in a sh!tty division in their 5th year.

You forgot the "Champions in Life" award.

The W/L record only tells a part of the story. The overall body of work shows...even in wins...we just weren't a very good team.

Saban can say anything he wants. Unlike Jones he's a winner.

You know this is not press conference related per say but I just saw where Trey Smith the 5star recruit from Jackson is announcing Tuesday.. Also saw where his sister, Ashley Smith is lyles executive assistant. I may have missed that during the recruiting process but may be a good sign.

Welcome to the board!

So your going to scream Dobbs sux all season. Now the #1 DT QB that hasn't taken a snap sux also??

I said before the season that Dobbs will be Dobbs.
He'll make some big plays and make some head scratching plays that's just who he is. Same with Jones it just hit a whole new low for me this season.

He is talented but green guys don't just come one and light teams up. Look at what Eason did this season loaded with talent and had talent around him and didn't play well. It's just not in the cards with the exception of guys like Tebow and Newton although he wasn't green.

You forgot Life Championship too.

They could try to develop a very talented Marquill Osborne, they could try to get an immensely talented Justin Martin back on the rails, they could focus on developing a talented Baylen Buchanan who has shown potential but needs better technique and more confidence.

Perhaps they move Byrd over, given that he was primarily recruited as a DB to begin with but was switched over to WR last spring due to depth issues there....so get Callaway and Johnson and Williams developed and up to speed at WR so that Byrd can help at corner IMO.

It was more poor technique than anything else IMO that led to such poor corner play this year. Better coaching ..... much better fundamental coaching.....fixes the most of the problem IMO, especially given the staff's poor track record with JUCOs to date. Jmo.

IF the o-line is better next year a young QB can come in and play well. Bama's line keeps Hurts clean for the most part. Now if our line is as bad as it has been the last couple of years then it could it ugly.
