Jonathan Crompton... (merged)

This guy's problem-and probably will always be, is nerves. He just can't play "practice" in front of 100,000+, everyone at home, and his peers. There's just too much pressure! My advice to him is to give Peyton Manning a call tonight and ask him how he handled all of this.

Guys, i hate saying this instead of "it's time" but, IS it time? We still have the leftover mess from last year. Not to say there hasn't been improvement, but we simply need more top 10 recruiting classes before we get serious. I just hope JC don't get Lane Kiffin & Co. fired because we still need them all!

I must be crazy but I didn't think Nick Stephens played all that crappy last year. He has a pretty good arm. What do you have to lose?

The team played very well . . . with one noticable acception. We will not break 500 unless we bench crompton, and get a QB who can read and react rather than throw to the area a reciever is supposed to be in.

hey guys, what is cromptons major?
he is gonna need it. worst ut qb since. joey Matthews?

every team we play from this point will stack the box, and put some safety on watching Gomers eyes.. they will have five pics every game, and we will finish dead last in the SEC...

all im saying is everyone acts like we were gonna go undefeated because we beat wku and it makes me sick to see people throwing the team under the bus because we lost a game that is whats pathetic my friend

Not the whole team just Jonathan "The Sacrificial Lamb" Crompton.

I think it's time to go get booze and watch some real college football with USC and Ohio State tonight. I think we can safely exclude my beloved Vols from winning anytime soon so that leaves me some free time on Saturdays.

What bet are you talking about? I said the offensive line would be better and it has been much better. Are you seriously that much of a complete freaking idiot that you think JC being a mental midget for the ages gets blamed on the line?

The only person who sucks is the walk on who replaced a 2nd team all american. That injury occured after the "bet".

You seriously make me laugh on a real tough night so thanks for being so stupid.

You need to go back and read your own post. You have a very, very short memory. I'll cut & paste it for you when it is time to ante up......then well see. As for freaking idiots.....you're the one wearing a Mike Hamilton T-shirt.

Everything you've predicted has been wrong thus far.

I seriously think he is one of those "ratards". You can see it in his face/eyes/throws.

When we find a QB that can spell touchdown and see orange we will have a good club.

I have to agree. Stephens at least seemed more consistent last year. Crompton is either decent or absolutely god awful.

Drinkin cold beers at calhouns. Football aint ruining my buzz. Screw it. Holla at me.

If our coaching staff is true to it's word and plays the best players, John crapton will not see the field again!!!!

All I can say is I'm so thankful that this is his last year.I'm sure this has hurt our recruiting terribly for the high schools players that were visiting todays game!

Crompton should pull a Cougar and turn in his wings. Of course he wouldn't be able to say he lost the edge... he never had it.

they all say he's a great practice player and that gives him the start. (as well deserved) But then he turns into a mess in the actual game! This is a fail and there seems to be no way to fix it...

Crompton does need to go. He has had too many chances, and just can't cut it. I always thought Stephens was benched too soon last year during the USC game anyway. At least he made some nice deep throws from what I remember. Anyway, I think we are going to be able to run the football a little bit better this year. The left side of our line is obviously the strongest with Scott and Richard. UCLA knew we we're running left and we still moved them several times, which is not considering they stacked that side. Bottom line, Sullins is just not going to cut it at center in the SEC, something will have to change. Either move Mcclendon to center and plug Brimfield or Pope at gaurd, just somebody bigger than 260 lbs. Overall I thought we ran the ball decent today against a pretty good front seven, we just couldn't hold on to it long enough to get it going. That first INT of the second half did it for me and my hope with Crompton.

It doesn't matter who put the depth chart together. he can't get out there and play. We lost this game on the field, not from the sidelines.

agreed. kiffin wasnt the one out there throwing incompletions and interceptions. Kiffins only fault was keeping Crompton in the game the whole time.
