I thought Henry might pick UT after Scarborough committed to Bama. I cannot see Lawson (#1 WDE in the nation) staying with an Auburn team spiraling out of control, the only other school he's planned a visit for is Tennessee. 2+2=4 right?

I agree if the Gruden thing was real...we would never have heard anything about! The we will only spend 2 million is crazy... I damn sure dont believe that..

and this is HUGE for some recruits, alot of highly ranked recruits want to blaze their own legacy.

Yeah, Auburn is AWFUL in every aspect of the game...UT being his only other visit(whenever that is) is an awesome sign.:good!:

If he thinks UT is going to shell out only 2 mill for a good coach then they are in for a rude awakening...They can get guys like Kirby Smart for that kind of money but that is throwing your program and its fans under the bus..Not sure about you guys but I'm sick of road rash :sick:

I just wish one Grudenite could provide any proof to their rumor, not heresay, not a rumor but proof of said discussion with Gruden. I know what a man told me that Gruden told him to his face about coaching at UT at the party he was at in July for Gruden and his wife and it was not coaching at UT. Granted some could say that is nothing more than heresay but the man who told me was in the photo album I posted a link to so I know he was there.

I know a lot of people want change, I want to see W's as much as the next person. I just don't think Gruden is our answer and for the money it would take to get him, we could get a proven college coach.

Yeah, it's getting quite old..Tired of losing..I want to have a coach that everyone hates b/c he beats said team all the time or on a reg. basis.

1. So what? Some of us have secondary teams we root for that are not rivals of the Vols.

Gruden has limited college coaching experience, but he does have some as a Graduate Assistant at Tennessee from 1986-1987, QB Coach at SEMO in 1988, WR Coach at the University of Pacific in 1989, and WR Coach for the University of Pittsburgh in 1991. Gruden is making a butt load of money with ESPN on Monday Night Football and his QB Camp that airs before the NFL Draft. The question on Gruden isn’t so much his lack of college experience, that’s probably moot, the question on Gruden is can Arkansas woo him away from his cushy salary with ESPN and get him back into the rigors of coaching.
