No worries though, he's been fired twice in the NFL so his reaction when y'all called for his job after 3 years would be quite entertaining.

Medic, for the life of me I don't understand why you and some others are trying to convince the rest, of your point of view. Are you ever going to agree with me? Not a chance. You'll never convince me otherwise either. You guys are going overboard in your attempts to sway us to your side, which is another form of control. I don't want to control you.....you're welcome to believe what you want. And I'm sure not gonna let you control my thoughts. I'm not on here to argue. I'd rather agree to disagree.

The real meltdown will come Sat. night. This thread will explode.

On that note we can agree. I will say Dooley better be ready to deliver THIS weekend or we "gots ourselfes a problem." Game will be close but 'tis time to put it on the field. We need to see some SEC caliber defense after 2 weeks to make adjustments.:good!:

Lol, that's too much to hope for. I hope we just do enough to win. It's all about the w's.

When a defense is bad, two weeks usually doesn't get it fixed.

Correct of course, but why would you trade such a prize of a coach?

You are talking about Al Davis here. The organization wasn't big enough for the both of them. And Davis didn't like the attention he got. If Al was so worried about his ego , he should have just coached the team himself. Instead he wanted someone that he could control and get all the credit for anything good that happend. There was no "Commitment to Excellence". It was a "Commitment to Al".

Nothing to do with your comment but when I was looking for something else(I think it was the pic of the SB ring), I stumbled upon something about Larry saying the we would only pay $2M for a coach..That's doesn't even sound correct from what we've been told.:ermm:

Yeah, his opinion is that our administration will only pay 2 million a year for a HC which is quite laughable. If this is the case they need to go ahead and burn the stadium down as JayTrain once said.

Not trying to sway anyone either way. I find it funny when someone claims to have inside knowledge on VN but of course cannot provide sources. I suppose it is the double naught spy stuff gives me a bit of a chuckle. IF the University were negotiating with anyone you would not find it on here. If someone had some sort of inside info and it appeared on here you can bet it would be the last bit of info that individual would be privy to concerning UT. The stuff about Gruden is all in fun, nothing more. Gruden doesn't need my affirmation of his credentials certainly. I gotta wonder if Chucky ever reads this stuff for a chuckle himself. Again, not trying to offend anyone, even the Grudenites, just having some fun.

I wasn't questioning you on your info..Just not familiar w/ Larry and the accuracy of his info.

We've heard very different figures, if u know what I mean.

f their information is true, and only they know, that would be reason to not give their sources......if true.

Those "in the know" didn't get there without knowing how to tightly control confidential information. I'll say no more unless you have the double super secret password.

I read it..Thanks for posting..WOW! that's great news.

Don't think I like the idea of him coming to the Bama game b/c he won't like what he sees.:ermm:

Maybe he will like the atmosphere and all that.:)

Recruits take losses alot better than fans do. Marquez North named UT his leader after the FL game and Fortenberry is reporting that we lead for Green as well (visited for FL). Atmosphere, opportunity for playing time, distance from home, and parent comfort are all major factors. I feel really good about Lawson, alot better than i felt about Henry.

Now that I think about it, I remember Green being blown away on his visit for the FL game..That just surprises me that the recruits take losses a lot better..Maybe when they see that we are having problems(and alot of them this year), they think "hey,I can help them out".

Well if you feel better about Lawson than Henry, then that is definitely a plus b/c I knew that Henry was gonna choose Bama..The signs were there.
