Oh good, another apologist for mediocrity hath shat in the thread.

Thanks for stopping by. All of our lives have been greatly enriched by your succinct, and well formulated submission.

I have a confession, I ventured outside of this thread to look at other threads this morning... now I feel dirty and ashamed... be back later, I need to take a shower.

And to think that I actually had that thing called a discussion with the apologist in reference minus the sarcasm and smarminess tone..Oh my, how things have changed ever since he found him a buddy to latch on to, that buddy is no where to be found right now..:whistling:

No shame in this. It is important to the movement that we venture out into the madness to spread our word. Now, clean yourself up and hold your head high. You are doing Gruden's Work!

He took tampa to the playoffs three times and Oakland twice. He also had a winning record in the playoffs.

Are you sure?

Gruden's coaching record is 95W 81L
Playoffs 5-4

Unless my arithmetic is wrong that is barely over .500 ball.
Somewhere in the vicinity of 53.977%:eek:lol:

Oh yeah, that will win friends on The Hill.

NFL =\= CFB if the NFL record dictated what kind of coach someone is then Gruden would be better than Saban by a long shot, also Spurrier.

Yes I must admit 5-4 is a winning record. I think it is a tad worse than 7-5 though. IMHO

What does that mean? Does Dooley have a 7-5 record in the NFL playoffs? Tennessee schedules 7 wins every year. There are only four to five games that measure where a program is on the schedule each year. Are you talking about Kiffins record at UT?

Okay, I will bite for the sake of bumping this thread.

Would you consider an NFL playoff game a big game on par with playing a ranked or rival team in college football?

If you do, please post Dooley's record in games that fit this description.

Couldn't agree more. Yet we have here a nonstop cavalcade(big word for the day) of pro Grudey comments based on for the most part a lackluster pro coaching career.:dunno:

When Dooley's win percentage gets that high, let us know.
