Which of the 3 coaches at UT will have the highest draft choices from their recruiting skills.

Fulmer - How many seniors from the past 3 seasons got drafted that Fulmer recruited

Kiffin - How many seniors from his recruiting class will get drafted

Dooley - How many of his recruits will get drafted

The answer to the above should shed light on what has taken place on the hill the past 5 seasons.

Good morning,Grudenites!

how's it going?

Regarding your post, this is how I feel.

Mornin' all. I agree as well Smokey. I have watched all the "big fish" posts for too long not to be skepti.cal. I hate let downs. But, reading these posts does give me a reason to hope. I suffered through the Bill Battle years when we could have had Johnny Majors. He wasn't the answer either, but he tried his best. I believe CDD is not the answer, but he's trying his best as well........it's just not working. Hope Hart does his due diligence if this change is coming.

hey, did u hear that Gruden just signed a new 5-year contract with his current job?(first I've heard of it)

Hey, Jon Gruden is ambidextrous, he can coach UT and broadcast all a the same time. And he can reach recruits all across the civilized world while he is broadcasting.

Taking Multitasking to the edge, and beyond. :)

Not saying the contract rumor is false, but I could see someone starting this to get a reaction from these thread contributors.

Howdy Jay,

I'm very confident that Gruden will never coach at Tennessee.

I still believe that if we only win 7 games this season that CDD will be here next season.

I can always be wrong, as can anyone, but I'll believe we have a new coach when the press conference announces it.

VFL...GBO!!!

I have consistently said that it's not a done deal. There is interest on both sides, however. If Dooley only wins 7 with this team and this year's schedule, he should (and I think will) be the exHFCUTK. 2013 will be a nightmare and remove all doubt if (that's a big if) he comes back. For what I've been told, 8 wins doesn't secure him, but again, anything's possible. Who replaces him is the matter that is unsettled. Gruden is the #1 target going away with Charlie Strong in the mix. It's going to come down to money. The buyout for Dooley and then some has been pledged since the debacle in Lexington, so it comes down to Gruden's salary and his willingness to come which he has publicly admitted interest in coaching in the college ranks. It has gone somewhat quiet over the last few days. Could be good or bad if you are in the Gruden camp. We will have a more solid idea, if not known, after the October games.

Contracts....if true, are made to be broken.

He doesnt make as much with ESPN as many on here think.

No one knows because it hasn't been released, but I heard a number yesterday that I hadn't heard that is significantly lower than most here has stated.

Just kidding. The number was $1.5 million. I don't know if that or the $3.4(5) million is correct. The first actually makes more sense to me. Again, no one knows, but it is widely believed that there is a clause that would allow him to be released from any contract if he returns to coaching.

I've heard similar things. You know what you do when you assume....just leave me out of it.

This is what is happening.
Although there's a group that thinks G is using arky and us to land the NFL job he wants.

If we don't get G we will get another (or first) up and comer. Every major school has money and boosters we will not steal another schools coach.

An up and comer is not bad.
Urban Cryer was an UAC and that worked out ok for FLA.

We should get Strong IMO.

As I have stated b4, I like Strong a lot..Just not my 1st choice.

He is on my short list.

Plus, I've heard he is a great recruiter.

We're all entitled, and I'm not bashing here....but Strong would be a completely underwhelming choice IMHO. I hope we don't go that way.
