Spending money on an upgrade that will reap results greater than the money invested is a wise investment. Successful businesses do it all the time.

Companies that do not invest in their future fall behind and eventually become obsolete and out of business.

Businesses also run a cost benefit analysis to determine what would happen in the best case scenerio (Grunden wins, Gruden stays for some time) as well as worst case (Gruden loses) and the ramifications on the entire department. Its called risk managment and that's what multi million dollar businesses do, not throw money at a window hoping it sticks.

Companies do invest in their future but they also research to determine if it is worth their time / money to do it. Those that dont go out of business. Fast.

Can't blame u there b/c I would be the same way..I'm lucky enough to be a homemaker and able to stay at home and keep an eye on things..Wouldn't trade it for anything else in the world.:salute:

Good coaches can coach anywhere. You get lucky and sometimes find that diamond in the rough trolling the WAC schools but why not let a MSU or UK give those a shot? We need to be on the market for the best coach out there. In the Gruden thread we have our candidate. What other program has a Super Bowl winning coach leading their team? We would also be trailblazers.

Tough week at work and can't keep up as much as I would like. Any new info today?

Local radio caller to Basilio has a reliable source that he has bought more land in Jefferson county. Not a joke says caller. He will not reveal his source. :)

I think what it boils down is that some would prefer to play it safe and take no chances..Well, the way I look at it, you're not gonna win games and championships if you don't take chances..That being said, it's worth a risk b/c Dooley is getting us nowhere.:twocents:

Well, I've gotten used to it over the years..Trust me, there is always something to do around the house.

I know my brother and me put my mom through hell. My dad usually had something to do when he got home. Never turned out too good for me. As the oldest son , I usually took the punishment for the both of us. lol

I know a lot of people see this thread as a joke. But I have that feeling this is going to happen. Don't know why. It just seems for real this time.

My grandparents adopted me at a very young age, so I was an only child..Had the run of the house, but didn't cause too much trouble.:naughty:

I think I turned out pretty good under the curcumstances..Grandparents are good people.:salute:

You're not alone in feeling that way..Maybe it's just wishful thinking, but I'm willing to take a risk.

Queen Grudenite has to stay positive and hopefully it will spread to the rest of the Grudenites.:)

Looking back I deserved every "punishment" I ever got. Parents let kids get away with too much these days. I didn't get abused or anything , but my father had no issues getting his point across. I turned out much better because of that.

Sounds like you have excellent parents.:salute:

Over 500 pages and not 1 credible post that says it will. I honestly think this is a joke thread. Wish it would happen, heck any proven coach would make me happy. It's painfully obvious our current coach will never win to the fans or AD's standards.

Appreciate that. Sounds like your grandparents did a great job aswell.

Yeah, they did..Had they not adopted me, I probably wouldn't have turned out as good..Have a pretty good head on my shoulders, try to make the best decisions possible in life and help other people when they ask for my help.

That is your opinion , man. Everyone has their say and I can respect that. There have been a few credible things said imo. Not saying it's going to happen. I just feel like it is. I might be setting myself up for disapointment , but I thought the threads on him in the past were bigger jokes. I didn't think he would take the job after Fulmer and no way he would take it after Kiffin. There are a few reasons this job looks a lot better now. Plus the cancer hampster is gone. Hart has to make the right hire if a change is needed. We will find out in the next few games.

Grudens mother-n-law lives in Jefferson County and is a long time Vol fan as is her whole family. Met one of my clients today who met with her last week and he asked if Jon had any interest in coaching at UT. Her response was she would love to see it but she says Jon wants to prove he still has it in the NFL. TIFWIW

I know I trust my client and he and I had never spoke about Gruden until today.
