I can't wait to see the thread "Gruden in Knoxville" according to sources. I can't take it anymore! I'll be in a corner hugging my knees if anyone needs me.

There is no way that Gruden would actually entertain the idea of coaching at UT. I think he's just being nice as well. Hamilton has his work cut out for him.

IM GLAD, I HOPE HE DOESNT COME HERE!!!!!!! he has only won at oakland and at tampa with somebody else's players..if you dont believe me go back and do the homework. he won at both places when he first got those jobs, and after awhile his teams went downhill...do the work.the proof is there..

Most coaches in the NFL "win with someone else's players." Gruden won a SuperBowl with the same team that Tony Dungy couldn't.

Just stay away from the ledge. This will all work out, eventually.

This is part of the post "They asked him about the offer from Tennessee that he turned down.

Gruden said all that has happened over the last 48 hours there is upsetting - that the business has changed a lot.

He said that he loves Tennessee, that it is a place very close to his heart and that he would never rule out coaching college football because he loves the game."

The kiffin clause would hold up ANY contract negotiations with any NFL coach! Don't expect him to go after a NFL coach for this reason. MH knows that it will be his job if this happens again. Just my opinion.

If Gruden or Stoops or some coach of their caliber actually does want this job and Hamilton has not pursued them, it's just a matter of time before folks start hanging and burning MH effigies from the trees that grace the UT campus.

But how will they ever know if he pursued those leads in the first place?

Gruden could put together as good a coaching staff as we just had. Seems impossible, but there are a lot of quality coaches in the NFL and collagen level. I would GUESS Gruden knows them all.

All JG is doing is trying to help us by making the job sound attractive. He is not coming here.

I agree, and I think it's a really nice gesture on his part. I heard the clip played on xm espn radio a minute ago and he sounded very sincere.

When Bama went after Saban they had to pay for him... I say pay what ever Gruden wants and get him here
