I'm glad how things turned out for Jon's senior year, it was really redeeming and encouraging. I've never been a huge Fulmer defender, but I can't fault him at all for not sticking with Crompton during the '08 debacle. I don't think you guys remember how bad the UCLA, Florida, and Auburn games were. Auburn was maybe the worst game I have ever seen a starting QB play.
Yep...unfortunately. I have heard from a UDub (Washington) alum that they wanted Wilcox really bad and threw $$$ at him. I suppose Hart/Dooley could not really give Wilcox a raise after we went 5-7, even if Dooley wanted him to stay.
Wilcox and Sirmon were not going to stay under any conditions after last year. Dooley lost his staff last year after he let Darick run the show at the end of the season. Why do you think that the receiver coach was the first to leave?
If Jon Crompton would have gone and seen a sports psychologist...gotten the right meds to keep the football demonic voices out of his head....his career and our football team would have been really great.
It was all mental with that kid...physical tools were always there.
20-26 in his 4th year.
I guess maybe the players at Bowling Green aren't intelligent?
