Jon Adams does it again

Don't no why John Adams is picking on Lil Jon. This all started back in the 1950's with that devil's music. What was it called? Rock & Roll.

I have never understood why people celebrate a culture that is of no benefit to society. There is nothing to be gained by associating with street trash. Why anyone wants to mimic and celebrate them is beyond me.

By this sound reasoning, half of the UT greats from the Fulmer era should not be allowed back on campus because they have "worn out their welcome."

As bad as I dislike the degradation of many things in a lot of rap music ... it pales in comparison to the self-absorbed, self-aggrandizing, and nonsensical hype cloaked as journalism from that paid-troll at KNS.

The ONLY way to deal with trolls is ignore them. Every other response is a fail. Just never read the guys crap, never "hit" the KNS site, and never pay for that dying KNS rag, and never start a thread giving him attention. Then it will just die away slowly.

John Adams is a joke

If he was half the "columnist" he claims to be he'd have researched the song and seen the disclaimer on the video.

Someone feel free to comment or email him and cram this blatantly missed fact up his ass.

He really stretches in that article. I can't believe he says that "third down for what" should be stopped because of the AJ incident. I understand if the song was very offensive or if the original phrase was offensive but no. Adams should just stick to his jazz and not worry about famous rappers Tennessee listens to.

Are you talking about football culture or rap culture? I mean both are really only beneficial to the people directly involved with it. Both encourage violence. Both have some crazy fans who take it way too seriously. Both encourage drinking and partying. Funny how they're kind of similar and you love one but hate the other
