''We, as coaches, are measured on results,'' Phillips said in a statement. ''We didn't get the results we had worked and hoped for, therefore change is needed".

This is a quote from Joker Phillips after his firing. I hope to hear Dooley saying the same thing soon. At least Joker gets it.

Per the title, I thought this was another thread about Dooley...

Oh, maybe it is! Somehow, I doubt that Derek will hold himself that accountable. Something, or someone, else will receive the blame

What a low form of life you two must be to revel in someone else's misery. You both discuss me as a Vol Fan.

These coaches give life and blood for a school, anyone with this type of attitude is a bunch of sorry @$$holes. What would either of you know about accountability, integrity, its easy for you to type on this blog. I will be at the Neyland statue at 4 pm, we can discuss in a more personal level :\

"Discuss" you? Who "discuss" you? You know why they give life and blood to the school? Because the schools pays them. Calling someone out to fight on the internet? Not very tough.

Also this is not a blog. You know how the internet works? I should report you to the KPD for making threats of violence. A little IP tracking.

4 sure!

VF, I have been thinking about what you said on Johnny. For twenty years, I have been going around saying that Phil backstabbed him. But you are actually right. That is too harsh of a word for what really happened. It is more like, Phil held a knife out and Johnny threw himself upon it. You win that debate!

Sadly though, I will say this...and it might a bit of a stretch...Philip Fulmer and Johnny Majors have fogot more about football and leadership of young men than Derek knows at this point.

My wife likes to say...what comes around goes around...UT is just being punished for their treatment of Phil and Johnny.

I'm not gonna doubt Dooley to be a stand up guy about it. However I'm sure that his worshipers will not show one ounce of class. They always blame everyone and everything but the head coach. It's always the asst coaches, the AD, the fans, the players and the former coache etc...
I hope all of DD's boot lickers disappear with him.

JM and PF both had good runs but it was time for both to go.
I laugh when I hear PF back stabbed JM. JM made his own bed, period. Dickey didn't want Fulmer, he wanted to clean house and get rid of all of Major's men. Dickey wanted to clean house but the team played so well under Fulmer Dickey had no choice but to hire Fulmer.
That Jackson is the reality of it. The closest thing Fulmer did to back stabbing Majors was that he accepted the job.

Well put Jackson! Now, how in the world can anyone say that you are a "Dooley fan"??? I believe you support the Vols 100%, would support the players and coaches as best as possible, and therefore a Vol fan... but to say you are a "Dooley fan"??? Oh well.

I wish you were going to the Kentucky game. I wanted to meet you and continue our debate. You are a worthy and classy opponent. Now explain how "he held out a knife". lol
