I love the way this kid has bounced back from a hellacious start.

My top 5 favorite Vol QB's are as follows:

1) Tee Martin
2) Casey Clausen (dude was cold as ice down at the Swamp)
3) Peyton Manning
4) Heath Shuler
5) Andy Kelly

It's gonna be hard to bump out Andy Kelly, but if he keeps it up, he just might in my heart heh.

1. Peyton Manning....paved way for following quarterbacks
2. Casey Clausen....he was cool as ice on the road
3. Heath Shuler.....was so fun to watch
4. Jonathon Crompton.....I would like to see anyone on this list go through what he did and turn it around in a season. (Only Peyton could)
5. Tee Martin.....Because he brought me my first witnessed Championship. But it wasn't T...it was defense...or Al Wilson

He's up there for me, but I've always liked him.

He'll never approach the regard that I hold the big 5, but he's closing in on the others.

The big 5 (in no particular order):
Manning, Martin, Shuler, Holloway, Kelly

I was one of the BIGGEST Crompton haters at the start of the season. I told people I thought Crompton was the worst starting QB in Tennessee history.

He has gotten out of the worst starting QB in Tennessee history category, but he is definitely not in my top 5

1. Dewey Warren.. he brought the modern era of QB to UT football, and introduced me to a life long passion
2. Peyton Manning.. The best prepared QB I ever saw
3. Tee Martin... He did what Peyton never could.. win a National Championship
4. Heath Shuler.. He could run, pass, or do what ever was needed
5. Condredge Holloway.. The artful dodger was not a great QB, but he was just so much fun to watch... and when they took him to the Hospital and he still came back to win the game... well I couldn't leave him off the list

Were you at the UCLA game? I'm really happy for him and for the team. He is clearly the best QB over there. We are still not running the full offense because they don't want to put too much on him. I do wish he had another year left. I NEVER thought I would say that. It would be best if Bray could RS to get strong.

I like how everybody rips him and says he is the worst thing ever and he couldn't start for a middle school team. and then whenever he plays well ppl just jump on his bandwagon. Not saying that all of you were trash talking him, but i know alot of you were. I never was his biggest supporter, but I also never went to the extremes everybody else did. i thought earlier in the year alot of crompton and alot of the recievers fault who were hurt and dropping balls. but come on putting him on your top 5 QB's ever? I like his grit and determination, but don't forget what all of you were saying at the beginning of the year.

My favorites are

Manning
Martin
Shuler
Casey Clausen
Ainge

I was born in 89, so Shuler is the first one I remember. Crompton has done well this season, but I can't forget last year.

WOW... I left out Tony Robinson in my post.... how could I not list him as a fav... He was the best QB that ever wore orange when it comes to simple talent... just not the smartest

Whatever you're drinking, put it down and walk away. The happiest day of my life will be when he graduates. I'll give the kid some credit in that he has improved, but his career at the University of Tennessee has been a train wreck.

If he had one more year he could be one of the best TN quarterbacks ever. Sadly he came along 4 games into the season and doesn't have another year. He is playing great right now (as well as any quarterback TN has had).
