I am posting this here for one reason; At this red hot moment, it has only had 1.376 views. And I am betting this will most certainly add to that sad low number. But many on here may have yet seen it, and you guys deserve to see it. Enjoy!

I like a good buzz more than an awful one. Will take either. Thank you for posting this video. John Ward is sorely missed. GBO!

I listen to games on radio because I don't have regular TV. Thank you, Freak for posting on Youtube. My ex is UGA grad. Yuck! Larry Munson was another terrific broadcaster.

Great video. I saw it years ago, still as good now as it was then. Oh, and I think the low number of views is because it’s re-posted on a different account. I know that’s not the account in originally saw it on.

Thanks for posting this. I had seen this years ago, but my wife and I watched the entire thing. We were watching it and the Grandkids came in. They sat down and watched it with us. They sat silent as if they were in church. At one point I looked around and there was not a dry eye in the room. When it was over we sat and talked about John Ward and what he meant to me. I explained to them when I was their age the games weren't always on TV. I would listen to John call the games. The youngest one looks at me and says Pops I finally understand why the VOLS mean so much to you. John was wrong about one thing. He will never be forgotten. GIVE 'EM SIX. Again, thanks for posting this.

Not sure why Music City Rock Videos would have the exclusive on this video.

Is the YouTube channel monetized?

Just wondering if this thread is about the video or YouTube channel building and money.

Thanks for posting. Hadn't seen it before and thought I'd watch 5 minutes and just finished the whole thing. I remember listening to John in my teens up through my 30's. Such a loss.

I certainly enjoyed this video of John Ward. As the radio play by play announcer for many years for the Valdosta Wildcats football, baseball, and basketball teams, I tried to pattern my work by some of the things that John Ward did. My key phrase was always " Give Him Six" after a TD. T-shirts were made with that phrase on them. Even though I no longer do the play by play anymore, I have quite a few folks that will say " Give Him Six" if they see me out and about. John Ward was tremendous and Go Big Orange.

Yeah, I guess John thought someone down the line would eventually do better than him. And maybe, who knows? Someone may inherit his role, do the things John did right, and improve upon it.

Well? it ain't happened yet. The Vol Network may still be functioning, and have sponsors. But until they get a great guy like John leading it again? I don't even know who they are.

Thanks for posting this. It was the best of times, even if we lost. John Ward was a better man than he was a broadcaster from all who have known him. I wish I had. Pure Class. He continues to challenge all of us to remember the great university that we represent and to uphold it’s standards, graduate or simply a fan, old or young, win or lose.

Does John Ward make the top 5 all time most beloved Vols list?

Hell yes he does. If you consider the fact that his contribution to "Voldom" is what made the program as popular as it is today.

I miss him more now than I did when he stepped down. Even more than I did when he died. His voice made the moments greater than they actually were. I wish we could clone him.
