How do you know they didn't try that?
No elite coach is coming here with the situation we are in when they could stay where they are at or go somewhere more stable than TN.

NO ONE is saying the guy can't coach at a BCS qualifier conf. level. Whether he can coach in THIS league at THIS level is yet to be seen. Those claiming great hire have no clue what they're talking about because he's not proven anything at this level. He fills that position and that's about it IMO. Will he turn our DL unit into the next great thing? Maybe, but nothing on his resume suggests that enough to claim, "great hire".

Because I heard $3 million was their top. In the shape things were in at the time, we needed to offer BIG bucks.

You can't start true freshmen and expect them to play like seniors. Unless they are an amazing talent like Janzen or Berry, the seniors will be better. Aj and Maggit are much more talented than Reveiz, but Reveiz is a better player comparing his senior year to their freshmen years.

According to your logic, any team with a number 1 class should start all the players they sign because they are better than any player who has been working out and practicing in world class institutes.

Because coaching paid millionaires that have their skillset and abilities already developed is the same thing as coaching undeveloped college kids with raw talent that play for free.

Unbelievable, Palermo does a 2 year stint with the Redskins and all of a sudden he a first ballot NFL HOF'r asst. coach (on top of being able to recuit like Saban, Wooden and Monte Kiffin).

This guy was at ND for a year!!! Awesome. Then. He left for Austin Peay? Oh oh! He has head coach experience too! But he didn't win a single game. :( He also coached in the NFL for two years and then he downgraded to MTSU? Sounds like he has awesome interviews though.

We are. And we are building depth at every position.

Does 70% of the entire TEAM in 2011 being Sophomores and Freshman not mean anything at all to you??

Think about the whole situation the past few years, not just the W/L record!!

Yea it has nothing to do with Washington's defense being top 10 in all defensive categories

I didnt even know they did ballet in the NFL, much less have a HOF for it.
