John Kelly Declares for NFL Draft

RBs are not as highly thought of as they once were by the NFL. I wish the young man all the best, just not sure it's a great move on his part declaring early after playing on a historically poor UT football team.

Yeap - Running back value has steadily declined during draft days. Unfortunately JK will be lucky to even get drafted in the late rounds.

Kelly could be a solid guy at the next level but he’s small and has a violent running style. Hope it works out for him

Kinda worries me with his style. Can't see him having a long career if he takes that attitude in the NFL. He'll take a beating.

I don't understand why we just think its fine that our Juniors seem to go pro, but Kirby keeping Michele and Chubb and getting them to stay for their senior year, when they were projected much higher than JK, shows what it takes to win. UGA wouldn't be in the CFP if those two declared last year.

I think you answered your own question. I think Georgia also kept a few juniors on D that would have certainly been drafted.

Why? Because those kids saw a real shot at a National Championship. And you’re right, without those kids, Georgia isn’t in the CFP.

What does JK see if he stays in Knoxville another year? 6-6?
