The offense left them on the field way too long, and laid down in the 2nd half in the game we lost, and no show vs arky. Sorry debord didn't make our qb better, and cbj didn't hire a qb coach, which isn't good. H Johnson switched to clemson after watching the inept passing game. And will shoop sign on, or get another pay bump like the last 2 years

I was fine with Jancek. I'm fine with an upgrade. What I'm not fine with is firing Jancek without having a solid plan in place. It's likely a sharp drop from Shoop (if he declines) to the guy that will accept the job.

All the coaches had issues along the way.

It isn't Jancek's fault we scored only 7 in the 3rd, 4th and two overtimes combined against OK.

Not his fault we scored a total of 6 points in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th quarters combined against Ark.

Fingers crossed it all works out

Maybe I'm wrong here. But I believe Butch has had a plan all along.

Why does everyone ignore that UT went on a 9 min TD drive in the 3rd/4th quarter against UF. Should have given the D enough time to rest

I definitely think shoop is an upgrade but didn't think jancek was that bad at all. He gets killed in here for the two huge come from behind losses but I put those 1000% on Butch. We went ultra conservative late in those game. We ran inside against loaded boxes on multiple possessions in the second half of those games. That basically handed momentum to the opponents on a silver platter and also left the defense in the field way to long. Afterwards people said we don't have depth...that wasn't the problem. All we needed was a couple of first downs and we'd have won. Look at how ole miss continued to attack against bama. That's what is necessary to win big games. And based in the way we handled the offense, you almost have to believe that Butch had instructed the coordinators to go safe. He likely to jj to go prevent and not rush in long/obviously passing situations.
Anyway, the future looks incredibly bright. To be able to go out and get the hot name at this point in times goes to show how much better off iur program is now than a few years ago. And I'm sure jj will land in his feet as well

if it's relatively short yardage. I think Jancek was a very solid coordinator. Jones apparently thinks Schoop can shut out SEC teams in the SEC half if our offense goes in the tank again.

From what I've heard in AD's office

- Richt fired from UGA
- Jancek let Jones know he was gonna listen to Richt (Jones open to his assistants talking)
- Jones starts vetting replacements; talks to Hart about spending ceilings
- Shoops expresses interests and passes vetting
- Richt goes different direction
- Jones commits to Shoop over Jancek

Not against good teams when you are giving ball back every three minutes after three plays. This isn't youth football....Jones's effort to scapegoat Jancek for the blown games is pretty lame...

Overanalyzed by SDS IMO. His re-tweets only show he's proud of what he did, & he should be. He improved the D statistically & tangibly, & the 4 & 5* kids who wanted to come play for him are getting set to explode. His 3 *actual tweets he actually said were classy.

They're crazy. You have a good chance of holding a 3 score lead for 5 minutes. You have zero chance of holding it for half a game. It's insane.

I can't blame him for trying to state his case on social media, so that he isn't stigmatized as a failure. He was a better than average DC, overall. But slightly better than average = losses in the SEC.
