John Jancek, Any truth to this?

I keep seeing this from UF and UT fans. They tried to throw it deep a fews times, but our pass rush forced him to take his eyes off his receivers down field and dump it off short.

That and the coverage also improved in the 2nd half. I feel bad for Martin right now but they played better without him.

U would think if there was tremendous hatred between his Dad and Butch that the son would not stay on the team.

RUMOR MILL: Among the juicy things swirling around this weekend -- former DC John Jancek must still be smarting from getting fired. We've heard from more than one source that Jancek has been sharing information with opposing staffs this month, including Florida. How did that work out?

The Tony Basilio Show

i had a jancek flashback on the only gator scoring drive in the fourth. they ran the exact same outside deep curl that callaway broke for the game winning touchdown and as soon as i saw it develop and saw the gator catch it i had a mini heart attack. luckily it only went for a first down and nothing more because the DB was in good position and made a great one on one tackle. Big difference in that regard this year. Did anyone else notice that play and think the same thing?

Don't these coaches sign non-disclosure agreements, and if they violate them how stiff the penalties/fines can be from being sued for breaking contract?

Yeah, that one stuck out but otherwise I thought the D did what they had to in order to run the clock with UF in desperation mode. We are playing much better in the second half this year, wish we could sort out the first though....

Through four games our D has allowed 60 first half points (Q1: 34, Q2: 26) and only 24 in the second half (Q3:10, Q4: 14). Great adjustments but puts us in a hole!

Any thoughts?

They have very strict confidentiality clauses and would be on the hook for a lot of money DEPENDING on how the termination agreement or employee agreement was worded.

As another poster said it would be career suicide to be proven to help competition of your old team. Of course his coaching performance may do that all on its own....

Another point I am seeing is what he would offer on our D but I find that irrelevant. I would be concerned with his intimate knowledge of the offense, players on both sides of the ball and coaching tendencies. There is a lot you could learn from film but much faster if you know what to look for.

I appreciate Jancek calling Donkey Teeth at halftime to tell the Gators to quit throwing deep in the second half. That obviously wasn't working......lol!

Hard to throw deep when you're getting pressure on the edge AND UP THE MIDDLE!!

Not true. He was not let go because of his coaching (should have been though). Him and CBJ are fine.

If true than I guess Jancek is the reason teams blow second half leads.
