The hire is not as sexy or exciting as Blackburn would of been or what we as the fans needed for reassurance but this is a solid hire on paper.

From listening to Basilio (who just had on a K-State beat writer), the complaints about Currie all seem to be based on personality differences he had while at UT and then again at K-State. Essentially, the brief against him is that he's a jerk who likes to give the high hat to his coaches, and that this is going to create division amongst the big money donors. On the other side, they all seemed to agree he's good at the business side and fundraising.

I'm still trying to weed through the facts to figure out if this guy has ever canned anyone.
Best I can tell the replacement he's known for making, was for someone who left willingly.

man, that seems like a loooong time for that. I would say 2 weeks, maybe a month is all you really need of that crap. After that it becomes a drag. I would say by April Hart needs to be setting into Tuscaloosa for another football season.

How is their best bball coach leaving for South Carolina (of all places) not having anything to do with Currie?

Currie's replacement of Martin has went 49-45 in the last 3 years.

Appears like a good hire on the financial side.

Per my sources: Curry has already fired Butch Jones. Hired Gruden as head coach Manning as oc, the Pope is Dc. Also he has fired Holly and hired Geno. Coach Barnes has one more year to get it right or Phil Jackson is going to replace him and Tony LaRussa is taking over for Serrano. So far I give him a solid B.

what defines young im 32, and had no clue, and im pretty rabid about my vols....grad of 06 follower since 96....AD never been a sexy position i kept up with....in all truth..

Sad part is, a lot of UT fans would STILL be unhappy with those hires.

The Pope is too old, can't relate and I think LaRussa is still passed out somewhere.

I woke him up, he was at downtown grill and brewery last night for there awesome happy hour. I gave him some Gus fried chicken and a piece of pie from buttermilk pie shop and he is good to go.
