So I guess that means that you think he is at least 'good'.

I've not seen him play. His raw data is impressive. But how can one say he's good, great or bad until we see him play ball. He's undoubtedly fast, big and has solid Juco #'s but many players coming from Juco have had impressive #'s and didn't translate in the SEC. I'm excited to see him on the field.

Best movie ever made IMO.

I sincerely hope Dools can use this year as a building block for the future of UT football with a solid 8-9 win season. He's a good man, seems to care about his players, is a good amabassador for the program, has shown he can land the coveted 5* recruit, and last but not least - he's good with the media and handles ill-intentioned questions really well. I like that in a coach. I'd love to see him build a long career here because I think with the right amount of success, he views this as a destination job. Kiffin obviously did not. I just don't know if his coaching ability is up to par with the rest of the league. I hope he can prove to all of us that it is. I hope, I hope, I hope. And in the words of the great Andy Dufrane "Hope is a good thing, and no good thing ever dies".

Not knocking Patterson, but I don't think Tennessee's secondary is a very good test.

I hope our DL and LB's make our secondary look like studs. If they do their job then the DB's will make a lot of turnovers this year. It all starts with the DL. We'll see.

Love your post, fade! We think alike on Coach Dooley. All the doubters on here, and the ones that just don't like him, I sincerely hope he proves them wrong. I don't think people realize what we could have in Coach Dooley. With this being his first real D-1 head coaching job, he's done a good job at rebuilding our program. I understand everyone's complaint and the "we need to win" attitude, but for the job he has done so far, all he needs is the wins, and I feel like he will be on his way to building Tn. back up to where we all want it to be. If the wins come this year, he's proven that he knows how to win and build the core of a program, and that's an envied talent in this day.

There were only a few jobs, a very few he'd have left UT for. UT is a great job and if/when we make a change If Hart will be smart all the "nobody wants to coach UT and we're lucky DD is such a great guy that he did us a favor" group will hopefully then shut up.

Maybe he'll surprise even a PMS numb skull like you and then you'll shut up. I have four daughters and you complain more than all of them combined.

Wouldnt say that. Actually they would be a solid test. Much better than the past few years and with a much more physically demanding coach and a HUGE improvement on secondary coach's.

Your previous quote said any 'good' reciever could do well against our secondary.

Worley is one of the primary reasons Patterson came to UT. They clicked in HS and trust each other. As you win big together you learn to trust each other and strong relationships form. That is the only thing left IMO that needs to happen with this roster and coaching staff. They need to win together and expect that they should win each and every time they step on the field.

In return our fan base is wanting to trust the program.

Yes I did. His raw data suggests he's pretty damned good. I'm in no way knocking him. I'm actually pretty excited to watch him play.
