John Brennan

It doesn't change the fact that it wasn't removed for any valid reason, worse, it was removed because the president is a cry baby.

You people are funny ... runs around with your hair on fire yelling Trumps a cry baby and mean , acting like he doesn’t and shouldn’t have any special powers and he’s just keeping the chair warm until a dem or hell anybody can be put into office to replace him . I got some bad news for ya skippy .. he is The President of The United States . He holds , controls , and is able to do everything that office affords him to do . He wasn’t voted into that position to play footsy with the establishment and to be honest every time that he does something like this , that no other president would dare to do , and you guys kick , scream and cry about a dinosaur government official that has lied to congress many times , voted for a communist is now a political hack working for a news media that’s actively trying to cover the president in a negative way to appease its viewers on the left, the more determined you make conservatives want to vote for him again .

Still waiting on Tom to answer that question...

I've had a lot of coffee.
I have a life, precious. I don't hang out on this board 16 hours of the day like you do. I enjoyed a half a day playing golf and hanging out with friends and family. Try it some time. Might make you less testy and ornery.

The threat of pulling security clearances from all of these men violates the spirit, and conceivably the letter, of the First Amendment. It abridges the freedom of speech to change an official’s clearance status based on the content of his expressed beliefs. Threatening these men, many who depend financially on these earned clearances, with that retaliation is an abridgement of their freedom to speak out against their government.

Is there anybody here that's dumb enough to argue that Brennan's security clearance would have been pulled despite "his frenzied and erratic postings" (their reasoning) if they were directed towards the "no collusion witchhunt"? Yep, sadly probably so. Everyone knows Trump is targeting him based on his views. And it's a warning to others, if you speak out then this will be the result. It's ill-considered and unprecedented and it's strictly being used as a political tool, and yes it is potentially harmful to national security.

Actually, my minor posts were typically on mobile as I went from and to various meetings and orientations yesterday. I wasn't able to keep up my busy social schedule like many expect. Sorry to disappoint...

As for the rest of your post, which makes absolutely zero sense...

I'm somehow not surprised you couldn't understand it. Hilarious that you answered me within 5 minutes of my post this early in the AM on a weekend. Adorable. I would post the pancake on your head gif if I GAF.

Oh, I understand it perfectly. You spent the last day coming up with an answer that really didn't make sense except in your own head, didn't answer the base question and thought you'd spike the football when in reality you just took the kickoff in your own end zone.

I'm pretty sure I covered your response accurately.

I spent five minutes on the response, tater tot. Just because you don't like my response doesn't mean it's wrong. Of course, that's the way you Trumpers always think.
Perhaps you should read up on it some more.

How White House Threats to Revoke Security Clearances Violate the First Amendment

Perspective | Trump’s security clearance action against Brennan poses threat to many, demonstrates need for due process

Opinion | Was It Illegal for Trump to Revoke Brennan’s Security Clearance?

How White House Threats to Revoke Security Clearances Violate the First Amendment

Oh, I've read the arguments for it. But they ignore the baseline principle of the whole thing...

A security clearance and access to classified information is not a guaranteed right under the Constitution. Period. End of story. In fact, having a security clearance actually restricts your ability for free speech more than granting it.

You can try to wrap your brain around it all day long, but taking away their clearance is in no way, shape or form limiting what they say in public. It has limited their access to information not immediately available to the majority of people. Nothing more.

You shout fire in a crowded theater, get charged, no? Is that limiting free speech?

Go completely unhinged towards the sitting POTUS, get your security clearance revoked. Not limiting what they can say, right? They are still free to say whatever they want to say, but for damn sure, they are cut off from information they have no need to access at this point anyway.

So sorry, sailor, you lost this one by trying to overthink it and buying into the liberal media talking points and hype. Good little brainwashed sheep. Good boy. Sit, stay, wait for your next anti-Trump talking points.

Tom, at this point, you're pretty much like Butch Jones with two minutes left against UGA last year. You're still trying to figure out a way to escape the embarrassment and win the game. Not even realizing regardless of what you do, you're going to lose bigly.

Now it's coming out that there were discussions about timing these revocations of these security clearances to distract from negative news cycles. LOL
Watch Trumpty wave the shiny objects, Trumpers! What a sad, pathetic, petty attempt at deflection.
He's going to have to revoke a helluva lot of clearances to stifle Omarosa's mountain of fodder, the Manafort trial, and the Mueller walls continuing to collapse on him.

Yeah, that isn't close to what's happening here. The reality is that you and your ilk are continuing to support the Derek Dooley of Presidents and you just don't want to admit how wrong you were. You're going to ride this moron right over the edge of the cliff.

You a fan of Elizabeth Warren? Do me a flavor and look up her recent bill called "responsible capitalism" and tell me what it is. Ya I know, non sequiter. We might have to start a new thread over this one.

I don't know what you're babbling about. You said there was a logical fallacy. I asked which one.

Dooley never lost 8 games...

Way to give Butch more credit than deserved.
I actually think he's set up Pruitt to be successful quicker potentially than his 3 predecessors did. That's about the only credit I would give him. Beating up Big 10 lightweights doesn't move the needle for me.

We had way more attrition than most people realize. There isn’t much more quality depth right now than there was when Butch took over.

In what role is he serving that requires a clearance?

Two situations can coexist. Brennan doesn’t require a clearance and Trump doesn’t need to turn it into a victory lap.

Wow, this is absolutely not how security clearances work. A security clearance is a level of trust that is NOT tied to just one single job. It's not a building security card, or email access you simply lose when you leave a job. Your level of security clearance is something you earn over time through your career. The only way you lose a clearance is if you are dishonorably discharged, fired for cause, or you've abused your clearance. It is not something that is stripped away because you disagree with the president. A security clearance is a huge resume sticking point, it translates to dollar bills in the real world. It is something you absolutely carry from one job to another.
Pretty sure my TS clearance expired when I separated from the Navy.
